It leaves time to finish other RPGs, right?

A new Ys game (2006) has been announced on Falcom daisuki. And according to rumors, it'll be a remake of Ys IV Mask of the Sun.

Didn't we already get a remake, or will this one be done by Falcom, because if they do this one, expect a lot of greatness from them. (OIF for example)

I think it will be a turn based RPG, probably like the first part, which had an active time battle system. Monsters are visible in the fields, and you can have up to four party members. Each character has special attacks.
When a battle begins, you are swept onto a battle field, and it's not a typical RPG turn based battle system either. These battles have more strategy components, somewhat similar (vaguely) to tactical RPGs. Your characters have a limited number of spaces they can move before attacking a monster. Of course magical attacks aren't subject to this most of the time. I have to say the battles are very fun too!
I would HIGHLY recommend playing the first chapter, it is a killer game, and there is a walkthrough for it. Another thing you can expect from this game and the first chapter are wonderfully crafted Falcom music melodies.
Hope this helps!

I don't really remember, but I think ED4 has a tactics-based battle system. Really boring, if you ask me.

I used to think tactical games were no good, then I played Arc the Lad I & II and that changed things. At one point I even got into Growlanser 2 enough to buy the Soundtrack. The Legend of Heroes VI just barely touches on that formula, it's like a mix.
I'm sure EDVI SC will be no different.

Sadly until you've played LoH6:Sora No Kiseki, the game prolly won't get your interest that much. The first game ended on such a cliffhanger than even more than the gameplay, what will make or break the second chapter is its story. Period. Well as most can prove here, the gameplay alone is good enough to make LoH6 a very enjoyable game. One can only hope it'll someday be (be it fan or officially) translated.

One of the things about the first chapter of ED VI that I loved was fighting. I actually looked forward to the battles. It looks like this one has much bigger bosses too, I don't see anything yet that wouldn't make this one much better than the first chapter. It is truly a shame that ED VI hasn't been ported yet.
Yay! Order accepted!
Thank you for your reply. We accepted your order. The total price is as follows.
Price (Japanese-yen) 7,400 yen :877 Sora no Kiseki SC

Hey all
I will be getting the double pack which comes with the first game as well. The website mentioned something about some stuff not being included, I hope it ain't the preorder bonuses.

Just ordered the double pack with the bonuses. Should be around 12000 yen without the shipping. Not bad considering that I get both games.
