Unfortunately, it sounds like Nightwolve will be taking a break from his PC for a while. This means that he might not be dumping the ED6 script for a few months. Without that script, translation progress can't really begin.
Of course, Nightwolve really deserves the break, considering how much work he's put into his projects. I do wish he could've gotten the kinks worked out with the script first, but the patch is a long way off no matter how you look at it.

It's not time to start waiting yet.

Are there any other rpgs, Falcom or not, with english patches released? I have the Ys 1 and 2 patch (which is amazing as u all know). The Ys 4 snes patch is pretty cool too.
Ohh yea.. at play asia they have the korean zewi box set for 29.90... Some Korean company Mega Enterprise ported it. USA needs a software company that is willing to port Falcom games in english. I dont know why its not happening as much as it should. I talked to the guys at taito last year, and I begged to have them release there Ys remakes in the USA. They didnt think it would sell well, and pretty much said there is a 99% chance they will not release them in USA. So now will konami release Oath on the ps2? Probably not. They said Ark didnt do well enough. Maybe Bandai will step up and start releasing more Falcom games. Maybe they will step away from the psp and move to the ps2. But I want the Falcom PC games. I am almost done with my Buisness degree.... I am gonna do something about this. Maybe I can hire NIghtWolve, and work with distributors to make it happen.
Then I woke up...... Nah seriously I want to do something about this dillema.

Does Taito US exist?
And about Zwei -- I'm pretty sure it would flop. At least it did in Japan (the PS2 version).

Yeah, but that was a Shining game ... and it was released by Sega. This is a bizarre Japanese game with a German title released by a company that might not even exist. Doesn't sound like a successful release to me.

I would buy it... I would also buy the Ys remakes.....
How is the newest remake, Ys 5? Everyone says they are horrible, but they cant be that bad. The story alone makes them good.

I never found the Ys series to be THAT good storywise.

Oh Ys V is THAT bad. It might be even worse, actually. Definitely the single worst RPG on the PS2. Maybe even the worst game on the PS2... Heck, might even be the worst game ever created!!

Ys III-V would probably be rejected by Sony, so it wouldn't matter anyway. And I doubt I'd be willing to cough up even $20 a piece for remakes.

I never found the Ys series to be THAT good storywise. I guess when taken alone, none of the stories were incredible. When taken as a whole, I find that the world and history created by Falcom for Ys is very interesting. Nothing literary, mind you, but very good nonetheless.

They would definitely be rejected by Sony. No doubt about it. If Konami made another ... let's say Metal Gear Solid for PS2 and included YsIII-V as pre-order bonuses, Sony would reject it all.
