Yay! I knew there was a reason I held off importing it.

Yeah.. the PSP version. I don't think there's much of a market in the US for PC games that make use of primary colors. But it's still cool news.

Woohoo! More Falcom goodness. Hopefully this is a good sign for ED6 on PSP

Does anyone here have the import for PSP? I'm wonder how the load times are on it.. there's a few games I'd like on the PSP but I'm still fairly tepid about dropping $200 for the system when I know I'll probably be getting about 1/10th the enjoyment out of it as I am on my $130 DS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gurumin was made in house by Falcom, so it shouldn't have the same loading problems as Ys 6 PSP, which was ported by Konami.

That's good to hear about the load times. I need to scour the internets to find out about Princess Crown, as that's the only other major game I'd be picking up. I'll also have to mod the d-pad as the one native to the machine is utterly useless (at least for anything requiring diagonals, which Gurumin would). Joy, oh joy.

I will definitely get a PSP soon! Good games (in English) are starting to pop up. Gurumin might be my first game for it.

Oh, I hate the analog controller on the PSP more than the crippled d-pad! But I've played through Gurumin on the PC with a Saturn controller through Normal, Hard and I'm halfway through Pleasure and I haven't had any issues. So, after the mod I'll probably be OK.
I'm quite familiar with Princess Knight (I'm a Saturn fan). I was just wondering if it had bad load times too.
Man, now if Falcom would just remake Popful Mail for the PSP, I'd be in Heaven. Maybe I can try that emulator thing and bust out my Sega CD and PC-Engine CD versions of it.

What is this d-pad mod you speak of? Definitely sounds interesting.

Wow, you really don't like the PSP analog stick? I actually prefer it to the PS2's... I think it's the most comfortable analog stick I've ever used! Gitaroo Man on the PSP is WORLDS easier to play than its PS2 equivalent, solely because of what I consider to be far superior analog control... While I still think the PS2 pad is better (which in turn really sucks compared to Cube, Xbox or 360 analogs) I can TOTALLY see the PSP pad rocking for Gitaroo Man.. I'd have S rank of every level if not for that damn loose analog stick. Sucks about Princess Knight.. still, it might make for a fun portable game, which is pretty much why I'd want to get Gurumin for it (other than the obvious English part..). Since you've played it.. does it at least have some kind of quick save? I'm usually allocated to 10-15 spurts during work where I'd be able to enjoy it.

So far so good. They didn't changed Parin's name. What if they called her... Palin?

Someone called her Palin. Might have been on some chinese website or something. Don't remember.
Anyway, I wouldn't care if they changed the names of the characters. Not care a all. Besides, Parin is a pretty crappy name in my opinion.
