So far it seems very nice. It is exactly like the Japanese version. The voice acting is actually pretty good. I thought it was going to be released the 13th, and I walked into my local game store and they said my game was in.... I was like wait... what game... heh.. pretty cool... Gamestop.com says it was released on the 5th... weird. But ya, I got it, and it is so far so good. I want to know what they do about the text entry parts. I didnt get that far in the jap psp version because I started playing the pc version again.
and the camera is still , I guess glitchy is the word.

Golly! It IS out. When did the date change? Oh well, the earlier the better, I'll need to pick this up whenever I'm free next.

My first time was 16 (or 18?) hours.. but that was replaying levels A LOT to get S ranks. Subsequent times were about 8 hours. So, I'd say about on par with your typical Falcom game. I thought it was worth it when I bought the PC version. I'm anxious to try the English version when I can borrow a PSP again.

Got my game a couple days ago, but only started to play yesterday. I'm not very far, only a couple hours in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. I haven't played the PC version, so I can't compare, but I like the voice acting and even the overall cuteness of the game. Certainly shaping up to becoming one of my favorite PSP games.

The worst part about the PSP version is the poor animation. Open a door, for example. Three frames, for some reason. Even though it is 3d. Otherwise, it seems pretty sweet.

I'm a little disappointed in the voices. Especially Parin. I also did not know that she were so arrogant, I don't like that at all. In fact, I hate Parin now, and that makes it harder to enjoy the game.
Other bad voices include: the guy with leaf hair, the phantom prince and that little girl you save from the dog in the beginning.
Also: the camera is screwy, which further takes away some of the fun. Not a good thing. And again - the animation is really poor and I don't understand why they made it that way.
Other than that, perfectly enjoyable, but the PC version is better and for once - understanding the game made it worse. For me, at least.
The controls are messed up too, by the way. Why do you jump with circle instead of square or X? WHY!?!

Meh, I'd have thought jumping with X would be more messed up. I've always seen Circle as more of a jumpy button... so no complaints here.
Anyway, when mine finally ships and I get my memory stick I look forward to playing it. I have a soft spot for overly cute stuff, anyway.

The problem with the circle button on the PSP (for me anyway) is that it is really hard to reach it while holding the console in a non-painful way. Moving your finger to reach that button takes time and is uncomfortable. The PSP needs to be bigger. When will the developers learn? You must ALWAYS be able to reconfigure the button layout. Always!

"I'm not being feisty, I'm being RUDE!" Cylinder is a dirty old man... heh. Parin throws some good ones out to him. I think they did a great job. They could have screwed it up pretty bad, and they didn't. I feel like I am playing the same game, and listening to the same characters as the japanese one. I am glad mastiff didn't change a bunch of stuff like konami did with Ys 6. They overhauled Ys 6 to "Americanize it" You mean "Bochalize it". Mastiff is on the right track... And I am almost sure they are going to do ED6 FC for psp. I kept emailing the big shots at mastiff, and I did not get a direct answer... but It was hinted.

Getting a bit further in the game, I love it. Voice acting could be better, now that I've heard a lot of it, but no real complaints. I think the controls work perfectly, thought I've had a handful of annoying camera moments, but they were all going down narrow corridors or corners or something, so no big deal. I adore this game so far, this UMD will be staying in my PSP for a while.

Currently compressing the ISO I just ripped from my brand-spanking new PSP purchase! Can't wait wait wait! Hopefully playing in 333mhz mode running off the mem stick will fix the minor load/lag issues you mentioned. Also, I believe this version has a dual language option, with the Japanese VA intact. Though I heard it's an easter egg unlockable. For those of you that don't like the English VA. I imagine it's subtitled. Few more minutes!

Game's pretty good so far. Camera blows, and I loathe the PSP's analog nub, thus the game feels quite clunky. Yeah, even running off the mem stick in 333 mhz mode, the game animates strangely at times... especially in cutscenes or breaks from the action (such as when enemies stream in from a hole in the wall or something...).
So far so good though. Love how much of the environment is breakable. I just got to the destroyed Monster Town and I have something like 2500 in cash!

All it would have taken to fix the camera is a button (or button combination) that resets the camera to the back of Parin's head, Zelda style. *sigh*

I've never played it in any other way than 333MHz off the memory stick. Never have I used the UMD drive, nor will that ever happen. I loathe the analog nub as well, that's easily the worst piece of controlling device ever designed. AFTER the PSP's d-pad, that is! Why, oh why does the PSP have to be so poorly designed? It looks good, but that's it. Anyway, I guess I was a little disappointed or something. I haven't touched the game in two days now and I don't feel like playing it today either. Not sure why.

Hoi, does the game have Parin do goofy expressions when selecting difficulty modes at the beginning? If so, someone must take a picture of her Crazy and Pleasure mode expressions!!! :((((

And nunuu: But of course that little bit of detail has been left in! (Although strangely enough, pleasure mode has apparently been renamed to "happy mode". Not sure what I think of that...) Well, "pleasure" holds a certain ... connotation. ^^ But I doubt that's the reason it changed. Regardless, that mode is neither happy or pleasure-invoking. ^^;

Based on wyrdwad's PSP cons, I'll happily stick with the PC version for my primary Gurumin love but I will be playing through the game at least once in English since I may be able to borrow a PSP.. and if I ever get my own PSP (it's eventual, my girlfriend is almost begging me at this point so she can get Loco Roco) I'll pick it up to show some English Falcom support. Speaking of the PC version, I need to go back and play Pleasure Mode.. I know I've got a delicious little secret awaiting me after beating it once again. I loathe the analog nub as well, that's easily the worst piece of controlling device ever designed. AFTER the PSP's d-pad, that is! Truth.

Take a screenshot of Parin's face with Pleasure mode selected please. TT~ And Crazy mode too if you have that. (I can never remember if the latter is the most difficult mode or not. >_>)

(I can never remember if the latter is the most difficult mode or not. >_>) Yeah.. Pleasure Mode is.. weird. But anyway, I suppose I could take a screenshot, it's just the lame >.< anime eyes though. Crazy is unlocked after Pleasure I believe. I know I smoked Hard Mode with much ease but got slaughtered early in Pleasure Mode.. so I'll need to crack my knuckles and give it another go. By the way, does anybody else wonder why Falcom considers this game an RPG? I mean, I know internet nerds think that almost every game in an RPG but I figured the company making the game would be able to better classify it. Oh well.. minor gripe I suppose.
