Garghav Trilogy was good because it's simple. The story is fabulous because the characters are so likeably innocent. The relationships are simple yet emotionally touching. It's kinda unfair to compare Garghav with SnK because one is old-school and the other tries to be old-school but has to be influenced by the recent, complicated rpg genre.
I love Garghav because it's a brilliant old-school rpg. But to be honest, it's just too simple if you compare it with the recent rpgs. I love SnK because it's new yet tries to retain some of the old-school charm. Unfortunately I also feel it lacks some of the innocence Garghav has.
As for the music, I still think FC and SC has the best songs. "Cry for me, Cry for you" is good but I still feel more whenever I listen to songs like "Kohaku no Ai"

Haha, fine if we're talking about featured game songs, "Hoshi no Arika (Where the stars are)" and "Sora no Kiseki" get my most votes.

Whoa, new site updates. More screenies of S-crafts. I'm pretty sure that that Angel pic is Ries' uber move. Cool.
One more week before they send out the game... damn that means 2 more weeks for me.

2 weeks isn't long anyway. If I could read Japanese I would order games from Japan, too. However my choice of second foreign language is French...TT____TT
Still I have to buy games from the Chinese agent, and I just want to say WHAT POOR SERVICE THEY OFFER!

Ha ha, I used to buy Chinese versions of Japanese games too. Usually the ones from Hongkong or Taiwan. But the Chinese ones are cheaper.
But now that I know some Japanese, I've since converted to getting the original Japanese ones. I'm not from China (nor from the other 2 places I mentioned), but I'm pretty impressed by your linguistic skills. I've never heard of Chinese who actually take up 2 western languages. No offense but usually the ones I know take up a splattering of English and Japanese.

Musa you know Chinese right? And your English is pretty good, awesome! : D *Now I'm curious about your hometown=_,=+ HUHUHU...*I've played games from Taiwan, too.Their Ys Eternal II has better translation quality.I mean the font style and some other aspects fit the interface very well:) But the mainland version just changed everything into Chinese,as the menu bar,EVEN the "LEVEL UP"...=_= It's weird to see 2 Chinese characters popping out when Adol got a level up 。 But due to different manners of expression sometimes the translations of Hong Kong and Taiwan sound rather strange to mainland players. When we sew the Hong Kong version of ED VI FC our reaction was "OMG what the hell is this!(°ο°)" and poked fun at it ... see the introduction: ) www.typhoongames.com/tw/games.php?GameID=games/sora_no_seki

I'm from Esteria. Mwahaha.
Well my english is a lot better than my chinese, so I'm more tickled by how they call them "blazers" lol. Not that the original "Bracers" in the Japanese version mean anything (actually they mean wrist guard), but still that's one heck of a way of butchering Japlish.
As for the Taiwanese phrasings, maybe i'm used to reading Taiwanese comics or something, so I don't think there's anything wrong but I feel some of their translations are hilarious. "The sacred them..." How did "blazers" end up being labeled as "sacred"? lol.
Then again, I only know simplified chinese, I only get to recognize traditional chinese characters through reading lots of taiwanese comics, so my interpretation of that introduction may be inaccurate.

Ummm...the summer wallpapers have been released... Still there are tons of critiques of ED VI's character designs. :-/Some people don't like the drawing style of this art designer(oh BTW what's his/her name?) Actually I think it's ok,at least not as bad as many people think.

:-/Perhaps those critics are merely nostalgic,or want to tell people that they have a good taste. It is true that Minako Iwasaki is awesome, and yeah I like her works better, but do those current designers really deserve such harsh critiques? It just sounds like their works are only piece of sh*t.

I've always found the character designs in EDVI pretty great. I have nothing to complain about, and I like complaining.

Yeah I like the current designs too. Of course I grew up with the artistic style of the old Falcom art, but EDVI's characters are simple and easy on the eye. I like that the girls have very human body proportions and shapes. If only they made Estelle look a little bit more feminine like her mom (if she could just lose the twin tails and let her hair down ) Anyway, 2 days countdown! That means another week of EMS waiting!

Hmm, I've read complaints and bad reviews of the game.... not good.
Oh well, as a fan I guess I gotta bite the bullet. Dunno whether I am anticipating my package... or dreading it.

I guess it won't be so bad as were said in those reviews. :)I don't think it's totally intolerable or not play-worthy. certainly there'll be points which make this game shine and it's a pity those who refuse to play "Sora no Kiseki"series won't ever know it

You mean like all those people who whined about Ys Origin and it was still a really awesome game? Unless it's people whose opinions you really trust doing the complaining, you're probably better off just ignoring them until you've played it yourself. Null your expectations if need be, but don't start dreading it Then again, I only started on First Chapter yesterday and due to my incredibly slow reading speed and having to look up pretty much every other kanji it'll probably take some time before I'm playing the third >_>.

Ys Origin - basically too many bugs and holes in the game.
Sora no Kiseki the 3rd - Some players posted their gameplay videos at their site. I don't want to post spoilers yet, but all I can say is that I agree with musa's comments. The game is pretty bad so far.

...though I can't help but be curious about these videos you speak of, Black Bean. The videos are in the Japanese site obviously. Not on youtube or any other site. www.nicovideo.jp/You will have to register (free) in order to view the site. Most Japanese upload their videos there. Sora no kiseki the 3rd starts off okay, but then all of a sudden (warning: spoilers) .....the characters are transported to another dimension. The rest of the game is in essence a dungeon crawler. There aren't a lot of RPG elements in the game...that's a big turnoff for me.

Anyway... I just received my package from Falcom! ZOMG!
Postman woke me up on this lazy Saturday Morning lol.
Bad or no, I'm gonna start plugging the game into my rig.
Anyway, Blackbean why do you say Ys Origin had bugs? It ran milky smooth on my rig, never had any crashes at all.
