This thread subject mainly refers to Xbox PCE emulators, but any other PC PCE emulators as well.
I'm trying to find the best PCE emulator that will let me play a disc copy of the translated version of Ys IV Dawn of Ys off of the cd, and with the Japanese voices being heard.
I've tried using it through Magic Engine, but I was not too happy with how the voices were nearly inaudible over the sounds of the background in the game. It sounds almost like the clips are layered over something else and one is louder than the other.
The ideal scenario would be to find a way to play it directly through the Hugo emulator for Xbox, thay way I could then play it full screen on my television, however for some reason or another I can never get it to boot directly off the Xbox harddrive and I never get the voices to work when playing it off of the disc, other than that of the opening. However, when I take that disc and play it in Magic Engine, the voices play fine but again, I don't really like how the Magic Engine makes it all sound, or perhaps it may just be my laptop.
Anyhow, I guess I was just wondering if anyone here had been successful in getting the voices to work correctly on an Xbox PCE emu, such as Hugo and if so, how did you manage to accomplish it? Or maybe if someone here could suggest another emulator to try either for Xbox or PC?
Thanks for your time.

Edit: Well I just found out that Magic Engine has all sorts of fun settings to play around with regarding sound issues and I was able to find a level that seemed to balance out the audio overall, so I guess that pretty much solves it, but if you all still know a way to get the voices to play on Hugo for Xbox, I'd still be very grateful to know how you accomplished it.
