For anyone that is interested (or perhaps desperately bored and tapped out for reasons to play wanderers from Ys again) I have taken the TG-CD version and replaced the audio with the corresponding audio from Oath in Felghana. Yes, it works, I edited each track to be the same exact byte size as the original, so if you burn it, it will play perfectly. Just let me know if anyone is interested. I can send you a zip file (and simple instructions to make it work if needed).

Hmmm...That seems to be pretty cool. = ) The only problem for me is: I don't have Ys III for PCEngine...yet.

I actually did this about a year ago, & I included the voice acting in with the Felghana replacement song, from the scene where Chester & Adol are challenging Demanicus. I'm eventually going to redo the opening cinemas's voice acting, to sound more like Alen Openheimer(the narrator for 1 & 2), & change the lines a little bit, to say, "a Galbalan by the name of Demanicus". I just haven't taken the time to set up my equipment again to do this kind of thing. Soon, I will do it soon. Otherwise, it works perfectly! Just gotta add in that new narration!

You did say you were doing that. ^^ If could do a voice acting like the one from Alen Openheimer it would be also very cool!

Not yet, but, if you want to check it out, I think I can fit it on my little webspace. Just keep in mind, at the moment, it's not complete, since I haven't done the narration yet.

You coul also change the lines in the opening cinema. That blond guy is obviously the legendary hero, the ancestor of Chester and Elena, who beat Galbalan countless years ago, and not Adol. That narration always bothered me.

I remember playing Ys III for the Turbo Grafx back in the day and being confused of the opening cinema. I thought it was Adol they were talking about just the art department forgot to color Adols hair red.

Any suggestions on what my new dialogue could be, to alude to him not being Adol? I'm open to whatever. I don't think I personally ever thought that was supposed to be Adol when I first played the game, but, then again, I first played it in Japanese back in 92'. It was actually my first Ys. So, I can't speak from experience. But I want the dialogue to stay virtually the same. Oh, I will be calling it the land of Felghana(or maybe the people of Felghana, I forget how it's all worded), rather then Kenai or whatever they call it.

The US translation was definetely butchery by not giving the true interpretation of the blond guy being the ancestor of Chester and Elena. Damn you US translation for poisoning the minds of us kids thinking that was Adol.
Paranoia, it would be great if somebody could translate the japanese version of the dialogue and then give you that form. Deuce is great with translation but I'm not sure if he is up for doing it.

Well, one thing, I'm sure in the Japanese version, they just call him Galbalan. But I figure, since Galbalan is a type of creature, & since thruout the game, they call him Demanicus, I could call him a Galbalan named Demanicus. And I think I can get away with the Felghana thing, but, yeah, it would be cool if somebody did a true translation for me to work with
