Wolf's Rain is a fairly new anime, I'll tell you the intro story:
The story sets off in the distant future. The last wolf was killed over 200 years ago, at least.....that's what humanity thinks. There is a legend that tell the tail that there are still wolf's alive today, they learned to survive by disguising themselves as humans. According to a myth there is a paradise at the other side of the world, but only wolf's know how to find it. Kiba, Tsume, Hige and Toboe, four of the remaining wolf's, decide to set off and find this lost paradise. ---------------------------------------------------------
I only got the first 4 episodes on dvd and I'm gonne get the other episodes too, the anime is an action/drama story. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. It's not perticular a girls or boys anime. all the main chara are male but they are also cool. they fight amoung eachother (usually in their wolf form, those are awesome scenes). If you don't know anime, you should probebly skip this anime until youve seen the more popular series. The fun(?) thing is, is that the thing about: "when the world end, the wolf will show you the way to paradise" is a real beleve in the japanese mytholigy and relegion...
I hope some of you guys have seen it...I think it's totally awesome

Exactly which "more popular series" are you referring to? I bought the Wolf's Rain on a whim since it had Yoko Kanno's name on it . I love the stuff she's done. The OST is pretty cool and I caught part of one episode, I think it was on Toonami or something like that on CN(cartoon network) at night. I saw a part where there was a kid and a guy dead in the snow and another part in the episode where they were climbing a cliff or something and the one guy, who I suppose is just a human following them, can't go on and drops off the cliff. Pretty crazy. It seemed pretty interesting, i just never had the time to follow my interest til' now.

well Wolf's Rain is pritty weird and pritty heavy material, especially then end strange but beautifull. I have all 7 volumes, vol.7 still has to come out in the USA (Europe is sooner, yay ). in the first 3 volumes I saw some mistakes in the Dutch subtitles, so I gave the company some feedback about it. and then they send me an e-mail back if I wanted to testread the subtitles for Dutch grammar mistakes. so sing then (around november 2004) I work for this new publishing (WR was, together with .Hack//, their first release) company who releases anime onto the Dutch speaking market. It's fun work(no pay though, except a dvd as gratitude once in a while) and this year they'll release many more titles. with popular I mean: Witch Hunter Robin, Love Hina, and so on. those are more popular themes, and WR is weird but beautifulli in its very own way.

watched the first 3 episodes yesterday, it was pretty good. i'm hoping for it to get a little deeper, but it's certainly worth watching.

okay i finished watching this series today, i liked it. a few episodes were sorta pointless, but at over 10 hours total it kept my interest pretty well. i really enjoyed the ending.

eps 12 and 13 are recap episodes indeed, but that was for Japanese tv since there was a whole 2 or 3 months between 1-11 and 12-26, 27-30 are OVA episodes only released on DVD in Japan.

Good series. I thought the ending was rather sad, didn't expect it too be so dark. Though considering the series, I don't know why I wasn't expecting it.
