Check it out!Well, it's highly unfinished (doesn't even have collision detection) but it's looking good so far. This is a homebrew application, if you didn't notice that.

It is annoying how many people get it wrong. If they used the apostrophe in the game it would drive me insane! I hope they would not do that.

That Adol sprite looks identical to the PC98 one. I hope he's not using copywrited sprites. The background and stuff looks original, but not Adol. I love the effort but everything needs to be done from scratch.

I love the effort but everything needs to be done from scratch. The Adol sprite is from the Master System version as well as most of the tiles. The only thing that's "new" on that screenshot are the trees.

Yeah, all the tiles are slightly modified, but are obviously originally taken from the Master System version.

The series DID start with the Master System version--everywhere except in Japan.

Why not use the graphics from Ys Eternal or from the PC88 original Ys? I think the graphics in the Sega Mark III edition is a bit ugly.

nah I'm pretty sold to the DS for a while... until the PSPs fall under 100$ at least.
we have a poor man's API in dslua, but I haven't checked out libnds and uhh palib I think.
