it is only my imagination or does adol seems to flirt with every main femenine char in all the games? i could swear that at the end of all games he could ask for marriage to any girl and she would agree... lilia´s a good example

I disagree. It's hard to flirt when your actions are limited to narrative descriptions.

well in Ys II (the pc version of course) you can actually give gifts to people and see how they react... not to mention that in every game it seems you do a lot of favors for the main girl

Adol doesn't flirt; he's just a really nice guy with incredibly powerful pheromones.

Hm... true. He didn't start getting really popular with the ladies until after his little trip up there to Ys.

Now an Ys IV where you got an option to play a story as Karna, I'd be interested in.

Good point. On that note, I have to say that I was just laughing so hard at Karna's entrance in MotS... You gotta wonder if her being so remarkably self-sufficient didn't make poor Adol feel a little sub-par for a minute there. He's usually rescuing the girls, after all.

To be honest, not really. The sprites were so tiny and the animations so limited that I'm almost positive Adol thought she was wasting her time by not running into enemies off-center.

Ys Female character vs. Female character Deathmatch-Time Attack anyone? : )
This gives me an idea of something I wouldn't mind trying if and when I start that web comic idea that I have in head... well somewhere in there.

The original image is from the instruction booklet of the MSX version of Golvellius and just colored in photoshop. -SkyeWelse

right... althought i´m 21 i don´t have many wisdom about games of the msx or turbo duo era... would be nice if someone posted information about rpg´s of those consoles... As a matter of fact i just checked your XyZ page and i found Xak quite interesting, sadly i guess is those games hard to find and completely unstranslated...
changing the topic, does anyone nows what does the poem you give to Leah, Reah or Lair means? because is kind of a strange easter egg...

Well there are places where you can find out more about the Turbo Duo/PC-Engine and MSX games/rpgs that exist on the net that can be a pretty useful resources if you are ever interested in checking out older games. I'm 26 and I never owned either the MSX or PC-Engine growing up and most of the games I've played for either system has been during the last five years. Two sites that I like are: MSX.org and The PC Engine BibleAs for the Xak series... well, it's kinda my thing and since it isn't well known or all that popular, yet very similar to Ys I decided to try and make a site that would give a great deal of information on the series. Originally I had the English translated MSX disk image roms on the site but very recently the first Xak game has been officially released via Woomb.net in English and there are plans to localize and release most of the rest of the games in English as well. But yeah, this is all getting a bit off topic. If you or anyone else have any questions related to this, you can always feel free to shoot me an email or private message. -SkyeWelse
