Could anyone please help me? I just started Ys I and im at the first boss JENOCRES and y'know the door to get to him from the shrine? It wont open. is there something i had missed? Please help me.

Talk to Jeva (an old woman sitting in a chair) in her house in Zeptik. If you have Sara's crystal, she will give you the Shrine Key, which will let you pass through that door.
