Well, it's my least favorite.... But other people say it is good. This (and The dawn of Ys)are the only Ys games that I have not finished. I just came to the Canal city. Or something. And on the bad NES (and PC-8801) version, so that's probably why I don't like it. I haven't played any of the good versions.

::)Ys 2 is the BEST Ys GAME OF ALL!
It has the best soundtrack and is more varied and dramatic than Ys 1, though nothing can beat playing them both as one game on the PC Engine.

Hmm.... I played the PC-8801 version (japanese) yesterday. It was a lot better than the NES version, and I might just play through this one. Even though it's the japanese. (If I can do it, that is). But I still like the music in YsI better.

This was one of the games that totally blew me away, partly bc of the music, yeah I hve the turbografx version, maybe that is why I like it so much.

Of course the pc engine versions rule, and you can't just let it go after finishing Ys I, as it's bound to Ys II...

Ys 2 is IMO much better than Ys 1, especially coz the game is a bit bigger.
