There are many different versions of YsII, even though most of them are pretty much the same. But anyway, which one is your favorite?

Ys 2 Eternal/Complete for PC. Ys 2 for MSX2 is a close second.

Rofl. Isn't there a way to modify a vote ? Nope. And it seems like the new one is the most popular. Four votes so far.

Turbo for me also. The voice acting and the music just edge out the better graphics of the Eternal versions in terms of overall experience.

Ys II on TurboGrafx is the best. why the hell is there this thread? Everyond knows the Turbo Grafx version is the best! Back in 1990 nothing came close to comparing with Ys book 1 and 2!

TurboCD version. I haven't had a real go at any other versions, so I gotta pick what I know.

PC Engine (Turbo Duo) version all the way for me as well. I have to play it at least once a year to experience it all over again. It was incredible to be able to play it when it first came out. I remember being in a state of shock when I heard the voice acting. Now it's so commonplace in almost every game, but back then, it was truly awesome.

Are you seriously telling me that you can't see? Look closer at the poll results and read all the posts in this particular thread and you'll see. If not, then you're blind. hmm I wonder who modified it MP83 by the way what happened to my original post? I could have swore I voted in the thread. i like the PC version the best followed by the PC Engine one. though the PC Engine version holds a special place in my heart due to the fact it was the first Ys I played and one of the most memorable. chris

i was just playing around MP83, the way you pointed it out it almost seemed like you were hinting at it. after seeing that list of who voted there must be something wrong i know i voted in this one as well and i do not see my user name or my original post, also the fact the the TG Cd version is the one everyone choose shows that it was probably tampered with, though for the most part it most likely deserves it chris

I agree that the PC Engine version deserves the top spot. Regardless of how many times it is remade, I know I will always go back and play that one no matter what. If anyone else was there when it first hit in America, I think they would feel the same way. It is perfection, in my opinion, and can't be outdone. I know they have come close, but unless they redo I & II yet again in the Oath in Felghana/ Ys VI style then I can't say otherwise. Until then, the PC Engine version will always be the true version for me.
