I read on gamefaq for the PC version that you can only level up to LV55. I've been playing the PS2 version and I am at LV99! I have maxed out the gold at 100001 and exp at 9999999. The best way to max out everything is to get all the cleria weapons and armor. Fight the baddies outside of the goddess palace. Once you get strong enough then go to the gate of salmon shrine. These guards give you 3000exp a pop. I leveled from 55 to 99 in a couple hours.

It's the same in the PC version - 100001 gold. But I am not sure which is the top level. I don't remember.

After I maxed out everything, I went to fight Darm and oh lord; Darm didnt have a chance. I killed him in less than 10 hits.

It's been awhile since I played Eternal on PC. I've been holding out for the fully completed translation to play it again. But I do remember the level being capped somewhere around the mid-50s. And yeah, Darm is pretty easy in this version.

The Level cap on Eternal for PC is 55. I guessing the cap is so much higher on PS2 because the games are connected like the Turbo CD version? Darm doesn't stand a chance anyway, since you get invincibility right before you fight him.

ugh, Lv. 99? That is along way from Adol's Lv. 10 in Ys Eternal I. Heh, when you get the Clearia armor, money gets useless. Wonder why
