Was it even confirmed whether it was possible to complete it or not?

Hopefully not, I'd feel sorry for whoever actually played through the entire thing.

I STILL haven't played it since the first two weeks it came out. I really intended to finish it, but just never played it again . Hopefully, like in the PS2 Mask of the Sun, there are a few good dungeons at the end.

DEFINITELY, the main problem is the engine they're using. I'm very picky about controls and these are just so bad. It feels like moving a cursor rather than walking around. Just terrible.
If the level designs were decent as well, the games would probably be playable. Maybe. I honestly can't imagine Taito making a playable game, not after seeing these, anyway.

Don't be. The PS2 game is lousy. heh, I thought they were still talking about the SNES game... my bad. Well, I guess the joke still works out, at least. Anyways, If I can't find the time and money to get my PS2 modded for KOF, then I doubt I'll do it for PS2 Ys games.

yes, the most tempting of all imports... why cant PS2 just have a friggen freeloader disk?!

It does, but it isn't very good. It is called Swap Magic. It also requires you to buy a modified case for your PS2. Getting a modchip will cost you the same amount of money, and is a whole lot better.

yeah, I knew about that, yet I still ask for a real freeloader (like the magnificent $10 one for GC that's useless cuz I don't want to import anything for GC that much). I've heard of tons of people using Swap Magic and they're really happy with it... I've never seen anyone recommend a mod chip before. I would rather not open up my PS2 and install a mod chip myself, anyways. I know a place here that does it, but it's 2 hours away and costs... a lot more than buying swap magic.

Modchips are for heroes only.

True heroes install their modchips themselves.

I'll install a modchip in your console if you don't.

yes, they have swap magic for the PSTwo. Actually, I was even more hesitant before I got my slim version, everyone told me it worked better for the slim PS2 and all I had was the fat one.

Yeah swap magic works better on the slim PS2 because of the convenient flip top cover. However, the slim PS2's laser (at least the earlier models) is much more sensitive to burned discs, so keep that in mind.
HD Loader is the way to go.

Must people go with the expensive option and buy a DMS4 mod-chip.

Or I guess, the route I took, buying a Japanese PS2.

Are you talking about the awful PS2 Taito disaster of a remake.... They were talking about it over two years ago. Also, was that supposed to be a question? I don't see any question marks. In a sense, it can also be viewed as a uncertain statement.
