Not sure how many people actually care, but I figure we might like to be complete around here. Some guy went ahead and ripped the music from the PS2 version of Ys V. Here you go.

Thanks for the music files! I particularly like the Stormy Town track but most of the music is pleasent to the ears. Still nothing can touch Felghanas jaw dropping tunes.

I recommend using Winamp with the PSF/PSF2 plugin as Seldane mentioned above.

Yeah that was pretty weird. I guess you can unlock a sound test mode or something.

Taito should of just put all 3 games on 1 DVD.

Wow, Taito sure didn't update any of the music, did they?

Nope, it sounds exactly (and I mean EXACTLY) like the SFC music, only with PS2 "sound" instead. Really, REALLY cheap stuff. Ugh, it is disgusting.

I noticed that the 'Theme of Adol' track is actually 'The Boy's Got Wings' from Ys III. Now that's just weird. Well, that and no 'Foresta Village'. Still, thanks for sharing the rips.

Actually, it's the other way around. "Theme of Adol" was originally designed for Ys I, but was never used until the TG16 version of the game used it in the intro. "The Boy Who Had Wings" is actually the one that's the remix. Falcom is known for their rearrangements, and they just so happened to love the crap outta this'un! "Theme of Adol" also appears, as far as I know, in Zweii!! as... well, Hell if I know how it's used, but it's on the OST.

Theme of Adol can be found in the MarkIII/Master System versions of Ys I. But only via the hidden sound test mode.

Taito left out the Crimson Ruins song. I can't believe that.

Theme of Kefin is probably my favorite. It just sounds very epic.

Some of the tracks sound better, some sound the same, and some worse, compared to the SFC version.
What we (still) need is a Perfect Collection.

You can play PSFs with Winamp, XMPlay, and there's also an XMMS port for Highly Experimental. Also, Foobar2000 comes with PSF support built-in.
