1- What is it in Ys VI that u see better than any previous release ? 2- the best BGM in Ys VI ? 3- what does the gameplay of Ys VI need to become better ? ----------- here goes nothin, i'll answer my own stupid quiz 1- the 3d graphics , only the environments though , i wished the game to still in 2d -_- 2- Mighty Obstacle or the pc opening , don't know what to choose 3- going back to the 2d style while preserving the 3d environments , and advancing the gameplay itself with more depth like adding more moves and combos and also more areas and more scenario with the characters --------- anyone who has more quiz on his mind be my guest , of course after answering the first 3

1- I think attacking and jumping added alot to the gameplay. The dungeons in the past games were basically just find your way to end.
2-I like both town themes the best.
3- I think some of the special moves should be a little easier to do. Alot of people complain about the dash jump, and while it's easy once you get used to it, it's not the most natural movement.

I remember jumping didn't add much at all to Ys 5 but is great in this game, so I'd like to see less stuff like the Limewater Caves and more stuff like the Jue's mountain where you're jumping all over the place. The Ruins of Amnesia also take advantage of the easy camera changes you can do with a 3D engine to give you a great sense of the scope of the place. So more of that is in order.
My favorite song is the one from the PC intro.
Something I love to see in games is a lot of equipment that isn't better or worse than others in your inventory, just different, and you have to choose whatever suits your playstyle. Ys 6 makes a good attempt at this with all the accessories and the three swords and I'd like to see that fleshed out more in general. With the swords, as an example, they're "different" but at the same time once I got Blirante I never used the other two unless I wanted to use their magic spell.
Maybe introducing an elemental system like Dark Arms: Beast Busters 1999 would be better so that a weapon like Errical would be more efficient against water/wind based enemies and so on.

1. I am not sure. I like the game but I prefer the previous games.
2. Under (the) occupation - after the Romn ship (I think) arrives, anyway, it's that "sad" village tune.
3. The game is too short - and too easy. How to fix that? I am not sure, and it doesn't matter since the game's already finished.

I think someone out there is going to have to come up with a game that is a bit lengthy but doesn't seem to just drag out the game. That would be the challenge in itself, come up with a longer game that keeps on saying "yea, more azz kicking!" and less "Oh god, more of this crap>_<". Oh right, the quiz: Only #2, Still haven't played it 2.mighty obstacle is a good one, and maybe Armored Bane :-\

1- I can't really pick out any paticular thing that stands it above the previous Ys games, except perhaps that it was given a shot with and released in the US. Though that doesn't exactly apply to all of them.
2- Probably the PC opening or the last boss music, with ruins of amnesia and mighty obstacle ranking pretty high too.
3- Agreed, it's too easy and too short. Aside from that, I don't have any complaints with it.
All in all one of the better games I've played for a while

It's true, this is definitely the longest Ys out there if you ask me.
The structure of the game makes you feel like there should be more to it though, I think a great way to make it "longer" without hurting the overall experience would be to have even more accessories and minor optional quests.
Sort of like Link to the Past I guess, you can get through the non-dungeon parts of that game extremely fast, but at the same time you could spend days on the game instead to get everything.
That way they're able to keep the IMO great narrative pace the Ys games have without overstaying their welcome, since a lot of the stuff would be optional.
Ys 6 takes a big step in the right direction with this with the huge amount of different lines the NPCs all have that changes every time you do something for a game of this kind. Like I said earlier, I think if you take Ys 6's direction and flesh out things just a little more you'd have an all around perfect game from a gameplay standpoint.

The length of the game is a little artificial, though... you do have to do an awful lot of backtracking. It's not bad though because the gameworld itself is so small compared to other games. To me you could exploit that by having the townspeople be more developed (everyone having their own portrait/name/voice in this was a real classy move if you ask me) so that the short experience has more to it. Ys has always had that artificial length I guess though. I mean I never destroyed a boss because I'm skilled, I did it because I bashed into things for an extra hour to level up more.

1 - 3D graphics, nicer artwork. 2 - Japanese Intro, Utlramarine Deep 3 - Removal of the attack button
I personally don't think the game is too short. The game is too easy on Normal, but fairly difficult on Hard. I think they should make Hard mode, normal mode.

1. Hmmm, from what I've seen of the PC version, I'd say the 3D models, but it's only a small improvement.
2. I like the track played during the forest area where Ohla and Isha lives. Can't remember the name of the track
3. To be honest I wouldn't mind. If they expanded on the amount of attacks you could do with the sword. Like say 2 buttons for attacks and a button for magic. I also wouldn't have minded if there was an extra magic attack for each sword. Like what everyone says, making the game longer would be good as well. I'm not complaining or anything, just suggestions if there were ways to improve the game.

1. Heh. Well, actually Ys VI is my first Ys game. But, if I had to make a choice... the attacking and jumping, as mentioned earlier, were good additions in my eyes. I like to slash at will, not just when presented with an enemy. Why? Because I like smashing the silly button and watching my vorpal blade go snicker-snack. 2. "Ernst." By FAR. The rest of the soundtrack was superb, but "Ernst" continues to make me have butt-kicking urges. 3. More balance. I never used Blirante if I could help it because the sword's slashes went all over the place. I only used Ericcil for the boss-murdering magic attack, because the thrusting motion made it hard to hit enemies and the sword special attack was IMPOSSIBLE to execute with anything resembling effectiveness. The rest of the equipment, while sometimes nice... eh... by the time you got it, you usually didn't need it all THAT much. >> Just some more balance to the whole game would do wonders.
