I have my doubts... when rpgamers says "TBA" to me... that's a sign of "ha... better luck on the next game..."
So for Konami to be able to bring Ys6 here... it's a 2 thumbs up for them!

It rumored to be canceled It been taken off alot of main site listings. Plus fact that lastest Media data is in and Ys 6 is one of worst sellers of all time on ps2. My understanding is didnt even do 10k copies, when needed to do at least 150k for all work involved. Sadly this will likely be last Ys we ever seen here. I really need learn japanese..

The Press was pritty optimistic about the game, it got good ratings and reviews. so it's hard to imagine why it would sell bad, but it has happened before: press positive, hardly any sales (Viewtifull Joe on NGC)

Ah, I see you folks are not also members of GAF. Gaming Age forum, one largest forums I visit for game news has folks that do nothing else then compile media sales data and extremely accurately. If Anihawk and others there say Ys 6 sold really poorly they I sadly have to believe that, they have never been wrong or off all these years on data, actually they're first with news usually in that department. There has been numerous threads there as well but perhaps when site is back up someone can post another Ys one for more accurate data if they are doubting it. Sorry to be such a messanger, I thought most already knew this. It seems to go with trend business week made editorial about: www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_14/b3927062.htm. I would definitely quite gaming if only maddens, GTAs and Halo were all that was offered.

I hate hip-hop games(and 90% of USA/Europe developed), those games are only good enough to use as expencive frisbee... but I'm an action/adventure/rpg fan so then you mostly only get japanese developed games on console.

Konami's Ys PSP website is still up Ys The Ark of Napishtim PSPAlso, Gamestop.com still has the game listed on their website Ys GamestopThe english Konami website doesn't have access to the Ys page in the drop down list (there is a picture link on the main page). This game had better come out for either the U.S. PSP or Japanese PSP.

What the heck are Hip Hop games??? Are you talking about those crappy Def Jam games, that aren't even representing hip hop, with crappy artists like DMX or P Diddy(who're rap, not hip hop). If there is a true hip hop game, I'd like to know about it, & if it doesn't suck. I love "real" hip hop, but I don't know of many games with "real" hip hop in them, with the exception of the Tony Hawk games that actually have underground artists(aka artists that aren't on major lables, sometimes not on labels at all!) like Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, Living Legends, etc. Anyways, I just want to know what a hip hop game is, this has really sparked something in me, cuz I can't figure out what they are.

all EA games with "underground" or "street" in it are concidered urban/hiphop games. then there are those gangster rapes games (GTA SA). not my piece of cake

Ah, I see what you're saying, I'm not into those games either, though, the GTA's are fun to drive around in. I always pick them up when they go to around $10 or less, since that's the only thing I like to do in them, the actual criminal content (ie: the story) is offensive to me, but when you can input codes like making your car jump, plus, being able to get into whatever car you want, & drive from rooftop to rooftop, that's really fun to just mess around in once in awhile.

That's one of the most spectacularly misinformed things I've ever read. Funny, I've played the series fairly extensively, and I can't recall anything like that in any of them. In fact, I'm comfortably certain that there's no instances of rape of any form in any wide-release game. Get your facts straight before coming up with extreme (and non-existent) examples. I just figured it was a typo, & meant to say rap.

It's a sad for us western fans of Japanese made games.
My brother in law is like that too, anything which is too obscure or Japanese to him is considered crap. He prefers games vith violence and etc.

"Too obscure or Japanese to him is considered crap."How can a game be too japanese? Most of the games ( considering the old age Nes ) where made in Japan - that is, if I'm not misstaking, which I'm not Or? I agree with Adol, I hate HipHop/Rap/RnB music but I like some games EXCEPT NFSU because, you cannot destory others cars. They WON'T die ( ahum Destruction Derby 2 )
