I couldn't stand FFX. There were so many times when playing that game, I was bored to tears. And the characters were pretty lame as well. Seymour was probably one of the least threatening villains in FF history.

FFXI, too, is just plain BAD. It's without a doubt the most mind-numbingly boring of the MMORPGs out there. I don't much like MMOs to begin with (since I need some modicum of story in my RPGs, and real people just aren't that interesting!), but FFXI has absolutely NOTHING to offer that other MMOs don't completely surpass it in. The only thing I'll give FFXI over other MMOs is music, and MAYBE graphics (though the more recent MMOs definitely give it a run for its money, as far as graphics go!). FFXI is basically a level grind, pure and simple... and the only thing I think it really has to offer the MMO world is the ingenious way in which it allows English- and Japanese-speakers to play together on the same server (via the "auto-translate" system, whereby common phrases can be chosen from a menu, and will be sent out in whatever language the receiver's version of the game is set to). I have three friends who've basically been lost to FFXI (as that's ALL they do anymore), so as you can probably tell, I'm bitter toward that game. I felt that it was the missions that made Final Fantasy XI better than other MMORPGS. I dunno, I actually like FFXI a lot.

Ooh, Shin Megami Tensei: Online Imagine, that better be good, and if it is, it better come to NA.

The idea of an SMT online just makes oodles of ideas drip out my ears for different demons. They could have one hell of a character creation system on their hands.

Perhaps he is just not ready to settle down yet. He is so driven to do it all in his life the mere thought of giving up at such a young age would probably leave him feeling unfulfilled. Adol is a zealot, and may never marry. Now that I think about it, he is a lot like the Apostle Paul, who did not marry as well and traveled around way more than any more of the other Apostles, according to the Bible. He also suffered prison and many shipwrecks, just like Adol.

But you fail to mention that Paul:
Didn't save Ys, Didn't kill Eldeel and save Celseta, Didn't kill Galvalan and save Felghana, and so on.
Personally, I agree more with Adol's philosophy than Paul's, too.

I know it's a funny comparison, and I guess the same comparison could be made with Adol and a whole host of other people, but since I'm sort of a Biblical historian, Paul came to my mind, because I noticed a few things that were similar between the two. I guess it is just better to stick with characters like Link, when making comparisons with Adol. Hopefully, someone got a laugh out of it!

I have never heard of that guy, but then again - I have never touched a bible (and that's something that'll never happen!)

This game is still awesome (getting back to the subject). I played it a little again on the PC and while it seemed like Adol was moving slower, which was probably due to playing Ysf so much, the graphics still retain their beauty. I don't know if the game could be any better. Thanks to the Ys games being short, RPG fanatics like me can finish games more often. I still have many games to go through now though. I remember before I started working, I could sit for hours and play RPGs.
