Anybody heard anything on this? I am excited to see if it will match the quality of OiF. GameMusicFreak, I am counting on you for a full review when this comes out.

Very soon Falcom should be posting music samples on their site. I have been wondering if Darm Tower or any other familiar locations will feature the original music, with updated arrangements, or completely new songs. Based on what little we've heard so far, at least Falcom hasn't lost their touch.

After Falcom releases Ys Origin, they need to release some really awesome multi-disc soundtrack collection featuring AoN, OiF, and Origin. That would make me happy

At first I hoped that the OST would be included in the limited edition, but that's life. I just have to buy them seperately when I'm at Falcom HQ, in Tokyo, Japan

Samples soon would be nice. The recent trailer seemed to indicate the music was going to be on par with Felghana, which is extremely comforting. But all we have right now is two versions of the same song, one that's slightly gimped in the sound department and the other which is overlayed with tons of talking. I ripped the music from the first trailer, but ripping music from the second is almost pointless. Trying to hear the music above all that talking is difficult, to say the least.

Hey Vert, the second trailer was released in two versions - one was narrated and one wasn't. Get the other one, the music is very nice. There's another sample online, but it is kinda hard to get. I didn't really like it though. Kinda like ambience.

There was a narration-free version? Hm, I'll have to get on that. Thanks for the heads-up!

Okay, so for those of you who might want it, here's a rip of the song from the second trailer. The one without narration. Enjoy!

Likewise, and thank you a thousand times over! ( Because I think that's roughly the number of times I've looped the song since downloading... ^^; )

I have a request could you cut the begining 12 sec and the end of the song before it goes to the classical Ys music. could you repost that? No problem.Edit: And while I'm at it, here's the rip of the version from the first trailer. Seldane likes this one better, so I figure maybe someone else might as well.

The retail OST wouldn't be included in the game package itself. The game will have the music in OGG format on the disc/install folder. Maybe not. Falcom's been using strange sound formats for their latest games. Xanadu Next, for example. Probably to stop people from listening to the source files instead of buying the music CDs.

But using an odd file format won't stop any good programmers around, to find a way to rip those songs ^^

Of course. I've already converted the XN music.

I didn't. But I didn't listen to the source files either. I got more than enough of that soundtrack the 12 hours I played it. Yeah, I didn't like the soundtrack. Wanna fight about it? (at least MP83 will get it, I hope).

I can't wait for this soundtrack. As I listened to the samples this morning I started smiling and chills went through me. That only happens when I'm REALLY anticipating something.
