hey, I ordered my stuff through falcom the other day and I approved it without giving it a second thought before I realized the shipping on this bad boy:
Price (Japanese-yen) 7,960 yen :860 Ys Felghana Premium DVD 7,000 yen :884 Ys Origin Premium 1,980 yen :B29 YsF Visual Book 5,400 yen :shipping and handling ----------------------------------- 22,340 yen :total
Is that NOT a little excessive? isn't 5400 yen like 50 bucks canadian?? Just want to see if that's standard falcom fare or if im getting screwed for some strange reason :S

EMS takes usually 3 workingdays to get to you. It's similar to Express with UPS/FedEx/DHL

Yep, they're expensive, but incredibly fast. My ED6 SC arrived on the day it was scheduled to be released in Japan. They also deliver on Christmas Eve, so the close proximity to Christmas shouldn't be a problem.

That's because Falcom intends to ship 1 or 2 days before the official release

Yeah, YsF standard is in the usual-sized Falcom box, I believe -- the size of the Xanadu Next one, but not as thick. The majority of Falcom PC games are as big as the Ys I / II COMPLETE / Gurumin (etc) boxes (i e slightly smaller than the YsVI/YsF boxes), although there's no "standard." They USED to have a standard, however. All of their old (OLD) PC games (PC-88, MSX, X-1, FM-7, [most] PC-98 etc etc) were of the same size. The best boxes ever.
