Was anyone else disturbed that the oh-so-annoying and ugly monster Zava is now a busty female? Does Yunika/Hugo drop her in a vat of acid or something? Then again, if we can fight all those Ys I-II bosses here and they're still around for Adol to finally whack, who knows what's going to happen.

I think they could have made Duless More sinister looking. He doesnt really even look like a bad guy

So I guess it is correct that main characters will face most bosses from Ys 1 and Ys 2... I wonder what their story is behind Ys Origin.

They're greedy bastards who want the power of the Black Pearl all to themselves, end of story

I have NO quarrel whatsoever about the way Dalles (Duless? Argh, whatever!) looks in Ys Origin. Hehehe. ...well, except for the fact that we know he turns into a creepy monster much later in the timeline. Oh well. -_-; Zava was a bit of a shock tho'. ; Wow.

Dalles looks cool, but his design makes me think he would also be a good vampire hunter.

Eh? Did you not play Ys eternal 2?
Zava WAS a busty female up until the point you fought her... If you remeber she transforms into the big monster when you go to fight her. Prior to that she is in human-like form.

Well, I guess it is hard to tell how they would look like after 700 years. Zava does look like a human in Ys II but no one knows for sure. If you talk to some monsters in Ys II, they say she's hot but monsters' beauty standard can be different. As for Dalles, we really don't know since he has his face hidden behind his cloak for the entire game. Of course I don't take into account the anime since 1. It is inconsistent with the story in game 2. Zava did not even appear.

Well, in Ys 1 & 2 for Turbo, he doesn't have much of a face. From what little you can see, it looks like tentacles or something. And, I'm starting to wonder, if maybe all these bad guys/girls, are maybe Romun spies, that would be interesting, to keep Romun involved with Eldeenian's. And plus, I'm now figuring, that all the regular monsters in 1 & 2 are just humans, who were maybe various ranking soldiers of the ones who took over Ys. Whether they be Romun, or not. Ofcoarse, maybe the Romun empire didn't exist back then, but I haven't heard that it didn't so, it's an interesting guess!

Although that is quite interesting, I think the Romun involvement is highly unlikely. If the Romun Empire interacted with the ancient realm of Ys, the record of interaction would be present since the Romun Empire still exists and rules the world (at least the continent where Adol travels). Since the Romun Empire is our favourite imperial jerk country lusting for power, it would have made some attempts in the past to find the floating island of Ys (for black pearl, I guess). But no, there's no such record and the only people who are interested in Ys are few adventurers and old scholars. It would be interesting to see the Romun empire getting involved, though.

Well, if they were Romun spies, & they failed to infiltrate Ys, maybe because of the spies taking Ys for themselves. The Romun Empire would never admit to that, & if it were even written down, since it was a failure, they'd probably destroy whatever was written down about it. That's how the real world is quite often, so, I could maybe see Falcom going in this direction, but still doubtful.
