I'm pretty surprised at how many times Pictimos regenerated in that video. It may be that I'm only playing on easy, but I beat that boss with Hugo without him regenerating even once. I'm pretty sure I managed to finish off the little guys at the same time as I depleted his life bar. (Although I doubt that was because I was on easy, since I remember him regenerating when I played as Yunica...)

If you kill all of them, he spawns a whole new batch shortly thereafter.

To unlock the Very Easy and Nightmare, just create a file "data.no" (Create a blank text file, and rename it) and place it under the YSO_WIN\RELEASE dir.

Make a copy of any one of the existing data.na/ni/nu and rename it to data.no. Making a text file named data.no doesn't help much since the extension will still be .txt.

Making a text file named data.no doesn't help much since the extension will still be .txt. Only if you have Windows configured to "hide extensions for known file types." That makes things plenty easier for me now.

First stinkin "feature" I disable on any installation. But it is pretty humorous to watch people who should know better struggle with it still enabled. I was a TA for a junior level computer engineering course, and we had several students unable to assemble their .asm files because the assembler couldn't find them. Turns out the files were named .asm.txt

Actually, the .no file is to unlock the Very Easy / Nightmare modes. It doesn't store the Character Information, nor the number of times you finished the game.
Moreover, asking for the file, enabling Toal, is quite pointless, since in the Very Easy mode, you can beat the tower, with 3.5~4hours of gameplay, for each char.

Hello! Inferno difficulty is also already in the game. In case anyone wants to try it I've uploaded save files at the beginning for each character at pyralis.ifastnet.com/dl/YsOriginInfernoSaves.zip . They're on page 6 and the first version of each character starts with SP while the second one doesn't. Nightmare mode must be unlocked for them to work properly and you should test it by letting the first enemies hit Hugo. They should usually do 18 damage. I've never actually tried using the save files on other computers though so hopefully it works. This was done by modifying the exe file to turn new Nightmare games into Inferno ones. It doesn't look like there's room on the difficulty list (in the program) for "Inferno" so there's probably not an official way of unlocking it yet. I've finished the game with Hugo and the claw guy and everything worked fine. The bosses have different, harder patterns and attacks than on Nightmare mode too.

I played Hard on my first play thru the game with Yunika, and it was Hard but I managed to finish the game...
I am currently playing thru on Normal with Hugo and its ridculously easy... I've been running thru the game effortlessly and am now in the Poison Zone, haven't died or even come close to dying on a single boss fight.
I can't imagine how easy easy would be, or very easy for that matter!... Normal is easy enough... Hard was certainly Hard. But not as hard as Nightmare Felghana... Nightmare mode is nessecary.

; ...I got Nightmare, but no Very Easy mode. AND Adol in Time Attack. All I did was save blank TXT files as 'data.no' and 'data.ne' and put 'em in the release directory with the other data files. Obviously we know in this thread by now to change the .txt extension to the .no and .ne instead. Granted, I did do this after having played through all three characters first, so whatever. But I don't usually even mess with Time Attack mode... Worked like a charm for me. See? And Adol is fun. HEHE. XD BURST~

Heehee. I tangled with a couple of the bosses with Adol just to see how it would go. Not that I survived Kishgal there in that shot. -_-; ....lovely pinkish evil little demon Toal you have there, Deuce.

Interior Decorator Toal? With the bloody mess (emphasis on bloody, thanks) he makes in a fight... yes. Yes, that's good.
Took forever to sort those dang sprites. >_<; I ditched the enemy ones, but.. it seems like in doing so I lost ones like Zava and Dalles. -_-;
Is it me or was there an AoN version Adol sprite in there too?

Aw, crap. I'm betting Kishgal and Epona were in the enemy files too. -_-; In which case I stupidly deleted them also.
^_^; If you get bored enough to zip and upload the four baddies, I'd be quite grateful. It's hardly an emergency though.
