Generally, I have a rule of thumb for Ys games: whenever I enter a room, I cannot leave that room until EVERY ENEMY IN IT IS DEAD. Even if I've been in the room before, I will not leave until it is DEVOID OF ALL LIFE BUT ME. I follow that same rule. Ensures max enjoyment, good leveling, and lots of bloodshed if you have the effects turned on. >

You know, I'm really starting to wonder if you're a murderer or a vampire... your fascination with blood is NOT healthy.
Anyway, I'll beat Vagullion one of these days. You must've been being REALLY careful about what enemies you were killing if you weren't L10 before him though.

What, little ME? ^.^ I just like Falcom's attention to detail....
I can't for the life of me remember if Vagullion originally gave me trouble or not. o.O; Of course, trying to maneuver ye olde bump system after playing through Felghana and Origin so much lately would probably be culture shock and make me suck automatically anyway.

I take full blame if you go on a rampage tonight. You'd remember Vagullion. Unlike in Origin where he was pretty easy, in Ys I he was an absolute nightmare because he was solid (as opposed to bat form) for all of half a second at a time, and you had to be by him just when he decided to turn solid, whilst also not being so close he managed to hit you, because you didn't have THAT much HP. Basically, he was hell. Not challenging, hell. I'm guessing your mind blocked it out as a terrible traumatic experience.

XD What a pretty pearl moon! As for Vagullion... you're probably right. I must have buried the horror somewhere in my subconscious. ; He certainly is a heck of a lot easier in Origin...

...and Yunica on normal was way too easy? I died over and over on pretty much every major boss up to Zava on normal with her. I feel like a Ys failure now. *makes mental note never to play above normal with any character other than the Claw* Yeah, I wasn't really dying a lot to the bosses (like, at most, maybe 2 or three times, not counting the final boss because for some strange reason his Beta Beam attack always tracked me no matter how much I strafed him until he stopped doing that after the 4th or 5th rematch; heck, sometimes I wouldn't even die at all), which happened often in the other Ys games; I think the reason why I died a lot in Felghana was because Adol would go back to his starting level armor attire if you didn't equip the entire armor set and weapon that goes with it. Yunica doesn't change her appearance regardless of what you're wearing, so I had an easier time because of that. =\ See, I've never had a problem with being underlevelled in any Ys game EXCEPT Ys I Complete, when I attempted to take on Dark Fact before hitting my max level. Generally, I have a rule of thumb for Ys games: whenever I enter a room, I cannot leave that room until EVERY ENEMY IN IT IS DEAD. Even if I've been in the room before, I will not leave until it is DEVOID OF ALL LIFE BUT ME. Yeah, I do that too. Even when I have to backtrack. EDIT: I didn't even know there was a healing cloak until I went through the game with Hugo. Funny thing is it's located near the objects of the original topic for this thread. >_>

I never once used the healing cloak. Never found any need to. Then again, I HAVE only been playing the game on normal. (: -Tom You are awesome!! ;o; Even on Easy I had Yunica stand around for healing. :B (That's what I get for going through a territory at a wimpy level!) I didn't bother getting her the Increase Item Drops upgrade though so maybe that may have affected things. ^^; I never did get every upgrade in either of my playthroughs. :/ Speaking about missing items, I managed to miss the Cleria Ore in the Silent Desert during my Yunica run. Oddly enough, I had its location down and how to get to it in my walkthrough. >_>;

I never really cared when it came to Adol though, beating the bosses was more important than upgrading his sprite I never really used the healing robe either. Didn't find it with Yunica, found it with Fact, thought 'ooo' and tried it then, then didn't use it after that >_>
