Hirm, maybe not a full game but a mini game! :D
Well, for sure, there would be a lot of wall smashing. But what other elements would it have?
(I just woke up and this was the first Ys thought I had. :P)

I wouldn't mind seeing this happen, maybe make him unlockable after finishing the game with Adol, similar to Ys Origin. You would probably end up saving Adol at some point. Though Dogi has been drawn with a sword, we don't see him using one too much, just his hands. Weapons in the game could also be a collection of hand or fist accessories. That's what I'd like to see anyway.

A Dogi game would probably involve severely damaging the structural integrity of many a building! You can only smash so many walls before you have a problem... I imagine it might play something like this: www.pepsi.co.jp/special/game.html

A proper one would be awesome though, although it'd probably work better as an unlockable or something seen as you might get bored of doing nothing more than busting balls. Dogi clearly doesn't though, so who knows. If he can use a sword it could always be wider range, and his fists faster resulting in slightly more damage but only one target? Give him a charge attack like the earth ring in Felghana, then I dunno... fire would work for him too though.

The real question is will Dogi get a heroine to save or will that be Adols job?

The adventure of Dogi would be very much like the trading game from Link's Awakening mixed in with a lot of monster smashing. Technically, there would be dungeons, but our Dogi is quite skilled in invalidating those; so they would be timed and possibly have a complex structural integrity system; so that if you bust out everything, the whole thing collapses.

This thread is awesome. I think it's my favorite on the board right now. (: Aren't you glad I think of the weirdest crap when I wake up? XD Anyway, many thanks to everyone for making this thread a really fun read. LOVE the NES game cover. ^O^ But that pic of the cell phone game ... is Dogi spitting something onto the enemy? :O I'm disappointed that he's not punching it!

Pfft, that feeble little ghost doesn't deserve to have the fist of a badass one man wrecking crew like Dogi touch it.

Aren't you glad I think of the weirdest crap when I wake up? Not weird at all... Dogi seriously should have his own game! If Tingle from Zelda deserved his own game, Dogi more than deserves it. I'd love to just crash through enemies instead of fight them with a sword *is suddenly passionate about wanting a Dogi game* :D ...well, he should at least be playable in some form, some day.

And MP83: Wha'...? I'm not sure I understand what you're driving at with the "think" highlights and all that. He's implying that seen as it even has the answer to your avatar in you shouldn't *think* it's your favourite, you should *know* it's your favourite But yes, you did successfully identify my avatar. Specifically, I believe the farmer pictured there is named "Nda". All the farmers have slightly different faces and bodies, and are named after Japanese sentence endings, i.e. Nda, Ndayone, etc. -Tom This game sounds creepy.

So Del Stimpson and I discussed this over dinner tonight.
We've decided that there needs to be a recurring Pikkard. Who may or may not also be a recurring boss.
Also, Reah needs to make at least one appearance; as Feena overshines her like Adol overshines Dogi.

Ooh, chicken and noodles = really good! Why does that make you sad? I would travel across the world for chicken and noodles, and it will be done. Expect me tomorrow. Prepare the Ys talk and the noodles as well.

Yes, that is true actually. We need to perform a highly advanced scientific experiment, solving this issue, when I arrive at your place. Deal? Of course it is!
Right?
(On a completely different note, I shouldn't be awake right now.)

We've decided that there needs to be a recurring Pikkard. Who may or may not also be a recurring boss. Ha. It'll be one of those characters that will always be there to help when you least expect it -- such as innocently walking over a switch that Adol can't reach! :B I STILL wonder how the Pikkards got as far as they did in Ys VI during the search to gather all the missing ones. ^^
