TOtal cost was $75 US. It hasnt worked for years, I will give the broken one to my friend in Florida who wants to try to fix it.
What this means is that I can finally play Ys again! I played through I and II last night(iv played them dozens of times tho), and am working on Ys IV now(i refuse to use a Faq, and dont speak a lick of japanese)

That's my motto (well, not really). Oh, that is great! I envy you very much, I must buy a PCE as soon as possible too, because it is a wonderful console! Oh, I wish I could play Ys IV (I am going to buy for €60, which is a LOT, but it's worth it. And play it on the PCE emulator until I have the money to buy a PCE. But first, I must get the GP32).
