Oh yes, all the jokes that can be made with "Ease". We're due for a banner which addresses the appropriate way to pronounce Ys. o _ o

If this were which I listen to the most, it would easily be Origin. Namely for Scarlet Tempest, Silent Desert and that (AMAZING) remake of Over Drive - seriously, best boss music ever or best boss music ever? (the answer is yes ). Those keyboard sweeps never cease to blow my mind. And the whole soundtrack is pretty fun to listen to, but I tend to pick out those tracks for 3 or... 20 replays in a row, haha. Felghana is much better for less action-packed, fast-paced music, I think. More mellow, very pretty overall. And the fast-paced tracks therein are quite good as well. Behind those would be Ys6 and Ys2 tied. 6 is the soundtrack that got me into Falcom music before I even knew what the Ys series was. I had just seen the trailer for Ys6, heard Mighty Obstacle, and thought, "Hey! That's pretty freaking amazing!" The rest is history I guess. And Ys 2 has the original Over Drive (and other good songs, too haha!)

Hmm if I had to pick I would have to go with the PS2 Ys I and II soundtrack. I used to listen to it on my PSP everyday. I gotta convert those PSF files again. Correction! I've decided that the PCE version of Ys I II are the best.

I hope there's another similar track to water prison in Ys Seven. Hmm if I had to pick I would have to go with the PS2 Ys I and II soundtrack. I used to listen to it on my PSP everyday. I gotta convert those PSF files again. Correction! I've decided that the PCE version of Ys I II are the best. Yay! I'm about to play through it again after a couple of years. Maybe I'll record it for youtube. Even though others already have, it would be fun.

Endless History [the vocal version] was one of my favorites for a long time too... I've stopped listening to it though as of a couple years ago. Guess our favorites will come and go Here's another favorite of mine : The Last Moment of the Dark [Ys Dramatic Concert version] *Spoiler...* near the end of Ys I Complete! HD Mode : www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sKL3IQl6mo&fmt=22I like it because if you listen to the whole song, it's not just evil, it has a greater depth to it... I imagine Fact is more than just 'the villian', I imagine he wasn't always as he is now... That's why I think the music reflects a neat version of Fact.

Yeah, that's a damn good song. It's like the spiritual successor to Ruins of Amnesia from Ys VI. -Tom Hmmm, I have to hear this then, something similar to Water Prison MUST be good.

*finds my DKC 2 CD from Nintendo Power... good music...* And yep, the Ys anime pulled from several different albums... I assume the Ys Concert music wasn't originally for the anime? Or was it? hmmm lol I got a kick of how Adol ran everywhere even in the anime And the Devil's Wind room in the anime was pretty scary... Need to watch that again. Wish they had made that Ys IV anime though ...

I think my overall favorite is "Ernst" from Ys VI; it's one of the few pieces of music that I can listen to over and over again, and rarely get tired of it.
"The Last Moment of the Dark" (Ys I Complete version) is another one I really like, and has long been a favorite of mine. I believe I first heard it not from Ys I, but while playing a Zelda fangame called "The Artifacts of Darkness", and I always used to play that piece of music pretty loudly, which really got on my father's nerves. =p I was quite pleasantly surprised to hear it when first playing Ys I Complete a couple of years ago. =)

If we are talking full entire soundtracks, then I will easily go with Oath in Felghana. Awesome, awesome soundtrack...although almost all the Ys games have great soundtracks anyway...

It's a tossup for me between Oath in Felghana and Ark of Napishtim.
As far as favorite song, it's "Endless History". I even sing it when I'm at home.

Endless History (the vocal version) is my all time favorite too. I like it from the moment I hear in the anime. Also Palace of Destruction... that version where Keith attacked the Godesses in Ys II anime. Well, if I think about it... the best songs for me all from the anime. Subterranean Canal and Feena... so relaxing. To make the end of battle... oh, man I just love it all Well, I didn't listen every album and remix yet, my favorit will be the Endless History, forever. A question to xcalibar: how did you insert music in the game? Rename the file isn't enough, I see that, so... how can you edit the .POS file?

Well, the pos file of palace of destruction (YS108_22.POS) says in hex: 0c d8 03 00 d1 e2 2f 00, these are from 0x00 to 0x07. These values in text means something like this: Ø Where is the start... where is the stop?
