Hm... that never happened to me. Have you ever visited the Falcom website, or any japanese website? Because sometimes your computer will alert you that you can't view the pages properly without installing Japanese language support, which I think could factor in how I managed to do it without using the XP install disc. I simply didn't need it. That, or maybe my computer's magical. Either way, it does what I want it to do.

Well it's possible to add other languages also if windows was yet installed. Indeed, you have to use the windows xp cd for installing them since this procedure recquires the windows xp cd. For installing other languages just do in this way: ---> go to control panel ---> select "date, time and international options" ---then select "add other languages" in the new window seleetc the "languages" tab and check the option that allows you to install asian languages ---> select the advanced tab and in the languages list select all the japanes entries you will find. Press OK in that windows and the installation procedure will start. I hope it will help someone that will experience troubles in running YsF and YsO. However the Microsoft Applocale is the best solution to run theese games You can find it here: www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspxAnd here you can find how to add more foreign languages: www.microsoft.com/globaldev/handson/user/xpintlsupp.mspxBye Bye

See its stuff like mentioned above that has pushed me away from PC gaming. My brother has had to spend tons of cash on upgrades for his rig, and it always seems like there is a ton of customization needed to run certain programs. I am happy with an on button and a bag of chips. I thank my lucky stars that Ys 6 came out on ps2.
