For some reason, I'm still following the Vampire Knight manga.
I'm kind of put off by it because sometimes, everyone just looks the same. :P
The mangaka needs to give each character crazy hairdos so they're easily distinguishable from one another!
I'm also still following Bleach! I hope everyone blows up and dies in the end because they need to. Goddamn these shounen manga for dragging things out this long.
I don't think it's going to kill authors to break the mold and innovate something that doesn't follow the dumbass formula of hero gets into fight -> fight lasts for 300 chapters -> hero beats enemy -> enemy becomes ally or enemy dies.
Blargh.

I'm actually gonna start my first standard shounen long-runn-o-thon in a while (since my first downloaded anime, Naruto) which will be Eyeshield 21. Lessee how it goes. My bro is reading the manga and I get shown some stuff from it pretty often. Hiruma is cool shit.

Blargh. But that would make the anime into something more than a money-grabbing endeavour for sellind related merch, and make it costlier to produce too, because they'd have to hire an actual WRITER. But I mean, it's not like ppl watch shounen long-runs for good stories. I don't know WHAT people watch them for, but it def. cannot be the stories. I dropped Bleach somewhere around where the vampire dudes got defeated and the loooong trip to the place with a spanish name started. Bored the hell out of me.

Been a little bored with anime and manga for the last several months, but recently I found a couple things that struck my fancy.
Re-read Cain Saga and Godchild, by Kaori Yuki. Still love it.
I picked up volume one of Pandora Hearts and have also begun watching the anime. So far, so good. The anime also has the benefit of a score by Yuki Kajiura, so yay. XD Also, it's hard not to love Break. He makes me snicker so very hard, and I'm fond of his character design.
I binge-watched Baccano! over my winter holiday. While violent anime normally aren't up my alley if it gets too graphic, this one had a lot of other things about it that won me over in spite of the gore factor.

So weird! I've had KOR music running through my head these past few days. :O!!!!
Oh! Choose me! And take on me! Dance with me again!
Watched the OVAs for this series first, actually. Did that with Urusei Yatsura too. And for both, I've never finished watching the TV show. XD
In regards to KOR, I really hated Hikaru (is that her name?)? She was insanely annoying. So glad to see her outcome in the first movie. :D

Nunuu hates all of those that are loved. Especially if they are females.

I only ever read the KOR manga and watched the end of the anime (was the movie or the OVA last, I forget) 'cause I heard the ending was markedly different. I think that was on my classic romantic drama binge when I read all of I''s, Video Girl Ai, and KOR in like a month or two.

Kimagure Orange Road's mentioning reminds me - it was thanks to MP83 talking about that which made me remember and go off and finally add... Kimi ni Todoke to my reading list. Totally unrelated, I know. X'D
But ever since then, I have picked up this manga of pure sap and.... am actually liking it loads. LOADS. :'D The heroine is kind of incredibly hilarious~ Though, very unlike the usual stuffs I be following. Which are, for now, the same as always, Bakuman, Fullmetal Alchemist, and after a few months of break, World Embryo.
As for World Embryo, I'm noticing, it gets a wee bit irritating if one is following it monthly? Instead of reading it in huge chunks. I mean... after one month of 'what happens next?!' all one gets is.... the villain going 'Nar har har! Game start!'. And one has to wait again till the next month.

Looking back through Chrno Crusade, I get the feeling that Daisuke Moriyama's works are probably more satisfying to read when read again as a giant whole, not tiny chapters......

Nunuu hates all of those that are loved. Especially if they are females. Wrong. In fact, you find out in the first KOR movie how wrong you are. :D I just don't like helpless or overly perky and annoying girls. :P Also, Daisuke Moriyama's artwork is seemingly better in Chrno Crusade. Or maybe it changes more later on?

Not that I watched any KOR episode yet, but... by "loved" I meant those that are loved by fans instead of the anime's own characters. xD

Been rewatching Mahoujin Guruguru, it's still as funny as 4 years ago. Needless to say, I'm having a blast.
Also marathoned XAMD, was better than I expected. Not too great though.
Also checking out the new season's stuff. Thus far it's mostly meh or "how could you screw up such a good idea so bad", but the "Legend of Koizumi" is too awesome for words.

Watching SpoonyOne... and now I notice that AVGN also did a review of Street Fighter 2010, only recently?! I hate dupe reviews... but it's AVGN! And the other was Spoony! So two reviewers doing the same game = twice the fun...? ...> _>;

>_>; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe -- the original 1983/1984 cartoon show... why the hell would ANYONE watch this tripe? Now now, I'm sure there's some kind of nostalgic value for some people out there, but for others, this really appears to be one of the stupidest cartoon shows out there. Just watch an episode or two now that you're older and wiser, it's easy to see how ridiculous this show really is.
It keeps my niece entertained, at least.

Still watchin' Pandora Hearts, and I'm fairly fond of it-- though I think I'll prefer the manga a little bit due to the quality of the art. Not that the anime is bad- it's just that compared to some of the other shows running in the last year or so, the animation quality looks a bit sub-par. Seems more like something from the early part of the decade, not the last year.
But the Kajiura score is just so YUM. And I'm fond of most of the characters. (Break remains the fave. XD)
Also now watching: Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). ...Sebastian is SUPER BUTLER! ...I'm failing to come up with a way to describe this anime, but it has one of the most bizarre and disturbing characters I've seen in a while. Still, the animation is gorgeous, and I enjoy the Victorian England setting and supernatural/mystery angle quite a bit.
Reading.... I dunno. I think I'll go to Borders tomorrow and see what new manga pickings are out lately. I've been way out of the loop lately due to a long stint of trash on the shelves that didn't suit my fancy at all.

I still have to finish to watch Casshern Sins and i have plans see Kimi ni Todoke and Ponyo soon. ...good times. Cassehern is decent, although I'm a bit disappointed about how they handled some of the characters. At least the graphics is good. I've heard mixed reviews about Ponyo, haven't seen it yet. I'm not much of a Miyazaki fan though. Do share your opinion once you watch it.

Also, Daisuke Moriyama's artwork is seemingly better in Chrno Crusade. Or maybe it changes more later on? It does seem like his art was a wee bit more detailed in Chrno Crusade. Aside from the fact that some of the characters in World Embryo just looked SO MUCH like people from his earlier works! Like that director of F.L.A.G. .... Who did she remind me of from Chrno Crusade? (I guess.... one artist's style of drawing people does tend to repeat in whoever new they draw..... :''''D) Watching SpoonyOne... and now I notice that AVGN also did a review of Street Fighter 2010, only recently?! :o I hate dupe reviews... but it's AVGN! And the other was Spoony! So two reviewers doing the same game = twice the fun...? ...> _>; This just reminded me... :''''D I actually went off and watched a video review, for the first time ever, after randomly reading your's and wyrdwad's discussion in one of the Ys V threads.... :'D One of that Spoony guy's. Aaaaaaaaaand... I do think I have found a new thing to hate. :'D I guess perhaps it's because I'm not so fond of reviews in the first place? And then when I hear someone speak them, and that too with curse laden sentences.... augh. He seemed more foolish than the dreadful game (which looked really dreadful and curse inducing!). ....I guess I have a really bad sense of humour or something. :( *shot* Schlagwerk's post has reminded me that I was re-watching Nodame Cantabille again! After going through fits of agony over the manga finishing. I actually am so bad with watching stuffs, that... it, as always, fell by the wayside and I totally forgot about it. I think I shall just load up the episodes on me PSP and watch! And then wait for the new season(?)! Has it started already? Also reading, which I for some reason forgot in the last post - Bloody Monday II and Hour of the Mice. It's funny how one nice series being scanlated by some group makes you go off and randomly discover nice projects by the same group? In this case, it would be Hour of the Mice making me go off and pick up Memories of Emanon and The Town of Evening Calm. *More randomness* About Memories of Emanon, it made me realize something, number two. :'D This was one of the most gorgeously gorgeous one-shots I've read in a while, and is pretty much just.... amazing. But! I realized that cigarettes irritate me.... so very much, that I can actually like a character less because of that. :'''D And one can clearly see WHY Emanon smokes, but just seeing that measly little cigarette dangling there from her mouth was enough to make me go 'ugh'. *shot some more for random peeves* [Me god...it appears I've been bitten by the giant post bug, this morning. T___T *forces self to stop babbling*]
[But, since I forgot to say this last time - yes the mangaka DOES need to give everyone weirdo hairdos in Vampire Knight. :3 Because they ALL look the same with their emo looks, and emo hairdos!]
