From what I know, only via hacking. With or without Adol Patch.

Eh, I got the same save as well, its from some jap dude who completed everything and unlocked everything for the time attacks. There was a save where you can play Adol in the tower. It's most likely hacked because no matter what, Adol could not fight the final boss at the top of the tower.

It would've been cool if the save would have Adol at the start of the game and you could play it all the way with him. Although I guess that would take more hacking to do since the boss battles aren't programmed for Adol.
