Ys Falcom Fair in Akihabara

Ok, so there's this Ys Falcom Fair that's gonna be held in Akihabara of Japan on the 7th March 2009.

Anyone lucky enough to be there during that time?

- Free Admission

- jdk band mini live concert (and it's free to all)

- Announcement of 'Confidential Information' regarding the next new title (damn now I really want to be there)

- And other stuff like sales of merchandise, tickets to jdk band's next concert, etc.


But it's the announcement of Falcom's new title that's really exciting to me... to bad I can't be there. Hopefully someone on the board will go there and do a 'live report' for the rest of us.

Why must you put me in a difficult position like this ;_; I wouldn't care if it was just advance preorders and stuff (I want that SC Drama CD though) but the new info's bound to be Ys SEVEN, and the fact they're making it out like a massive unveiling sounds like it won't be just the name or something.

Theoretically I can be there - it's during my holidays and March is during the next cheap train season (though I'll have to get a hotel or find an internet cafe to stay the night at), but... I'll give it some thought and let you guys know. See if I can make a few days trip out of it or something to justify the travel time.

Fking great, I just had a chance to go to Japan with a family friend one week ago and be back on March 11th but turned it down because, well... whats there to do? I may not know Japanese but I sure as hell wouldve wanted to atleast behold what was unveiled. Damn....

Its more along the lines of Im not familiar with the sights and recriation found at Japan.... or I wasnt until last night. I did some research and now I feel like kicking my own ass. Freaking Osaka, Tokyo, AKIHABARA! Jesus, and thats just to name a few things, if I couldve got some yen I wouldve shopped my ass off.

Well that friend (Bob for what its worth ) takes trips to Japan pretty frequently actually so if he happens to mention it again Ill be sure to ask him about a trip.

On a more related note: Anyone know a source that'll have the Falcom fair coverage?

So, all things considered I'm glad I didn't go.

Ys I & II Chronicles and Ys Seven were announced, but that was about it. No trailer. No screenshots. They didn't even announce the platform.

Also, there was one Legend of Heroes 7 picture - a train, which is leading people to speculate that it is, after all, set in the Empire. Which would make me happy.

Yeah kinda disappointing no one's posted any of these images on the internet (or at least as far as I can see). Altago is looking pretty plausible at this point with the number of people starting to mention it... but who knows, could turn out to be something else as usual.

As far as LoH7 is concerned the fact it's as good as confirmed to be set in Erebonia is enough to make me happy. More Olivier!

Will do, though I'm not expecting a huge amount as things seem to be winding down. Also yeah I remember reading it... aaaaages ago. Need to replay 3rd before 7 comes out. I can't remember much. I won't let go of the dream that 7 could be the requisite christmas game.

I really hope Falcom aren't planning anything stupid like releasing Ys 7 on PSP. Heads will roll.
