Yea, I tried it it doesnt work. I meant like an area you can warp to... but you actually have to "discover" or walk over the tile to be able to warp to it. And you know Tower 6( I think) where you get 1 Dragon Key but 3 doors that use that key, you cant get 100% completion on that map T_T...

I think I might be a bit biased in my reviews but I thoroughly enjoy anything Brandish. The original soundtrack really got me into the game, and the expansive exploration coupled with a simple yet engaging battle system and an absurd difficulty at times really made it outstanding. In terms of the music I think it really depends on your tastes, its true that the tracks get a bit repetitive, but sometimes thats what makes you remember the track, and I personally luv "most" of the Brandish 1 track. Brandish 2 and 3 do an even better job in the them categories. However, its almost the same repetitiveness at times that might irritate you away. But I think Brandish 2 soundtrack is really an amazing piece of work that just expands on the pretty decent Brandish 1 OST. The ninja village and tower areas in particular are the ones that come to mind and stay there. Gameplay wise I really like the system it employs, its simple, theres puzzles, just when it gets repetitive something new is thrown at you and you forget that repetitiveness. So far it seems Brandish 1 remake is doing good in terms of sales and this is hoping that remake 2 and 3 and bring em over stateside too ^_^.. or thats just me wishing.

Your right about it fitting the atmosphere, and I think that's what makes it stand out so much. On its own, the music does get dull after a while(as much as I LUV Brandish music), but when I'm playing the game you just tend to crank it up and really enjoy it. I'm guessing you will get the same feel Tom!! AT least YOU BETTER!!! ^_^

I really like the soundtrack, and it fits the game perfectly. At the very least it never gets annoying while playing the game, which is surprising for the amount of time you'll spend listening to the same tracks. It's hard to describe what the appeal of it is without having played the game. The music just completely sucks you into the game, it's very atmospheric. It also conditions your mind like crazy, if I think about the Ruins the theme instantly starts playing in my head and I get all relaxy. If Headless is what I think it is, it is indeed a very good track. I was doing really well against the boss that uses the theme, and suddenly the music picked up like crazy, and I got so distracted by the greatness of the music that I forgot to fight, and died. Yea, I tried it it doesn't work. I meant like an area you can warp to... but you actually have to "discover" or walk over the tile to be able to warp to it. And you know Tower 6( I think) where you get 1 Dragon Key but 3 doors that use that key, you cant get 100% completion on that map T_T... You "discover" an area of two tiles to the left/right/front/back of you when you walk around, but it doesn't go through walls. Knowing this can help you sometimes, jumping through a hole on purpose to "discover" the area ahead for warping purposes. As for Tower F6, I was never able to complete it either. There's a hidden area in the semi-bottom right, right behind the chest. You need to jump over the chest and you'll end up inside the wall. There a single square pillar blocking your way there though, and I know that kind of object always has a switch hidden to lower the pillar, but I couldn't find it. Oh and I assume you know this already, but the area behind the locked doors on F6 can be explored by falling through certain holes on F7.

This game is great, I love the music. I've played for like 1h30 in the ruins, and I'm really happy so far. I quickly got used to the game controls.

Fortress theme is awesome indeed. I just beat the game too, it was great! The ending also had a few breathtaking pieces of artwork. And the part with Dela's head talking was just like a PCE cutscene Some notes, slight spoilers maybe: -Casino has been moved to Dark Zone 2. Nice music. -Final Boss has a second form that wasn't in the SNES version. -You get ranked at the end of the game. -You get to make a clear save. When you load this save you start in Dela mode. Dela mode is pretty cool, all new dungeon designs. It even has some obstacles that weren't present in the main game, so they did more than simply edit some maps. lindaluvCan't help you, I haven't played Dela's mode much. That boulder at the beginning caught me completely by surprise! So after dying in under 2 minutes, I decided to finish up my import guide first.

The new casino card game was actually quite fun, just annoying how after I get to like 3200 they just gimme all the poopy cards and I get destroyed!!! The ending artwork was very pretty and what you would expect from Falcom. Im still scratching my head about the secret area in the ruins basement 2 tho arghh. Whats this import guide thingie???

You're still a bit ahead of me, I'm in Ruins 3 atm. These EX dungeons are pretty though and take a lot more time to get through, but damn are they fun!
Did you get a bossfight on floor 5? I wonder if she'll fight the same as Ares, or that we'll get some new ones.

N, thats what Im waiting for, a nice HARD boss fight. So far, theres only rooms where you have to beat a wave of 4 baddies at the same time 4 times (makes sense ~_~). Plus you fighting all the cave and fortress baddies after ruins 3 EX, like the freaking Spider girl and the chimeras!!! The hardest parts are dodging the boulders.

Ah man, those challenge rooms with the 4 enemies aren't that fun after the first time really. I´ve been through two of them, hope they won't keep throwing them at me. Btw, I love walking sideways with Dela! You know, with the cape fluttering away and... Thank you Falcom EDIT: Just found this out After finishing the F3 I went back to the store on F1 using the basement warp shortcut. When I talked to the merchant he asked me to give him the blue crystal I had. Agree to this (first option) and exit the store. When you go back in he’ll have new equipment and magic for sale! Including a ridiculous Duck hat Also, do you have any idea what this Blue Ring item does? I recognize the kanji for attack/defense power in it, but it can't be used and doesn't seem to affect anything when kept in my bag. It's worth 75.000 gold.

Yea I figured that, as it seems he is the only merchant thus far. I kept going back after every new floor. Its good you get the dimensional boxes so early. But hurry on up to the 7th ruins ^_^!!!
