Point! Sometimes my Japanese translation also gets messed up if people say things a certain way too much ^^; I'd never volunteer for the team, but I do enjoy being able to get the occasional detail without needing it translated. Thank you very much for the file path info! I'm still on XP - and will be at the very least until I get my new computer with hardware that doesn't give me much of a choice - and I tend to bounce around between my desktop and laptop depending on what i want to do with one or the other (EX: my Acer's camera is 100% better than my webcam, so when I skype, acer becomes skypebox). Thanks as always for being absolutely awesome. Hope the translation is going well!

Oh, as for spelling, Yunica is the official spelling, and also what I'm using in the patch. But if I were to go completely unilateral with this, I'd call her Eunica, since that's an actual name. Just as well you're not, or my mind would think 'Eunuch' every time I saw her name.

I think aesthetics play a role in how a word reads, too. Not in pronunciation, but the overall feel you get from it. Yunica is prettier than Eunica in mine eyes.

Now I keep mentally seeing Eunika, which makes its own kind of sense, what with the Eu prefix meaning good.
Of course this requires me to make up a meaning for Nika . . .
On third playthrough. Before I fixed the frameskip problem, damn was cutting through bosses difficult.

GAH! I'm with Varion on this one, no eunuchs! Seriously, I don't WANT to picture Yunica as a castrated male. XD ...although, that'd explain the oven mitt! XD *gets shot*

My girlfriend who introduced me to the series (and despite my suggestion to play, is still holding out for the translation. I keep telling her, that just means a reason to replay!) did some name looking and found Eunice, a greek name that means "good victory."
Which apparently could mean "awesome victory"
Or true victory.
Eunika started sounding really cool.
Though Yunica helps to save the nickname Yunnie from that brainless summoner...
