I noticed these on Youtube while I was looking at Korzics run. It's a TAS, but still impressive.

Thanks for posting this. Pretty impressive!
I knew that some people were working on this game over at TASVideos (NES, SNES, and Genesis versions), but I didn't know there were any full runs done yet. Well, there was one finished for the SNES version a while ago, but the author apparently wasn't trying for perfection, so I haven't bothered to take a look at it.

Ah, that's cool, I'll have to watch this eventually. xD
And indeed, if there's a TAS speedrun that doesn't aim for perfection, then why make a TAS speedrun instead of a regular one? It's pointless. xD

Yeah I checked TASvideos after I saw because I always find the authors notes interesting, but it's not posted there yet. Also do you know where I can find this SNES run? I would think it would be slower than a Genesis version based on the Galbalan fight alone. Not to mention I think you need to be max level in the SNES version to do any damage. Anyway I'm still curious.
Also I agree, what is the point if you aren't going for perfection? That is supposed to be the differences between a TAS and a normal speed run.

As for the Genesis run, it doesn't look like it's been submitted to TASVideos. They normally make a topic on the forums for each submission, and the only Ys III one I see is for the SNES version. Speaking of which, that one probably won't be posted to the main site, but here's the submission page. You'll need the proper emulator and ROM to watch it (listed on the submission page), as nobody has bothered to encode it yet. Also, if you're curious, here's the topics for the NES and SNES versions people are discussing. I thought there was also a Genesis topic, but I guess not.
