And if this game is translated into English, I hope someone goes out of the way to make funky Engrish titles for the bosses. :3 It wouldn't terribly surprise me if the next game from the multi-platform project restored the Engrish love, especially if it's PC-based. However, why wait? For your consideration I present Yotaka's Engrish titles for the first three bosses: Velclaire - The Twin Turtle in Terror Esgallion - The Tusk of Elk's Lunch Zeeranfis - Gliant-winged Bag And as a further bonus, the first optional boss: Barkyrios - Alright, let's get this- OW OW OW!

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the incrementing numbers next to the SP when attacking but it seems like as you whale on enemies, the SP number grows. Like it'll start off as 1 but as long as you're connecting hits (like comboing), they'll keep going up. If you pause in between, they'll drop back down. I haven't paid attention much to the other numbers since they're sort of self-explanatory though (like the Damage number will increase as you beat on an enemy, duh). ====================== Edit: Ah, having on-going Quests nets you some side money in the meantime. Didn't know you could hand over some stuff to the people that want them whenever you get something new for them. Flower-lovin' girl near fountain is teh cheap though. Oh well. ====================== Edit #2: Hey, is there any reason I can't equip 3 Skills on Aisha? She came with 2 and then I bought another bow (Long Bow) that has the Tumble(?) Arrow skill. But when I equip the Long Bow, the second skill slot goes empty and the Wide Arrow skill is greyed out in the list. .... I suppose I can only have one Arrow skill at a time? :/

Did she actually LEARN the the second skill, before you changed her weapon? It's like Xanadu Next: if a skill hasn't been levelled-up at least to 1, the character won't be able to use it unless he/she has that weapon equipped. Only after a skill levels-up at least once does the character actually learn it, and become able to use it with any weapon. Ah~! Gotcha! I'll shove the wimpy bow back onto her then! XD! Go go Wide Arrow! ..... Oh lord, I never knew you could charge regular attacks. Turns out that if you land a charge shot, the SP count starts at 9 (well, it does for now. Not sure if it'll change as the party levels up, different enemies, etc.). ^^ Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. SP can go up to 40+ on one enemy in this dark cave place if I manage to land 2 charged attacks. Kekekeke. SP gauge will be forever full at this rate. XD Ahaha. It works on carcasses too! But wow! Just got 66 SP somehow!! @_@! (How did I miss the help screen on it? XD) .......... 4th Boss HATE. ============= 4th boss == thumbkiller. For some goofy reason, I'm dashing around with charged attacks and that is brutal on my right thumb. :P Think I'm gonna go back to rapid firing instead. ^^ Defeated! :D Wow. Plain, no frills death there. No grand explosions. TT~

The whole game is thumbkiller! It's absolute agony, I've never had to take so many breaks playing one game before.
PSP = Playstation PAIN.

Yeah, I've never had problems with the nub before. It's a lot better than most of the d-pads I've had to use, though it definitely doesn't beat a real analog stick or a full-size joystick.

Do you have a short thumb? Mine are long, and the nub feels very... odd to me. I mean I know I'm moving when I use it, but it doesn't *feel* like I'm touching it. It reminds me of those shoddy intellivision controllers. Although, Intellivision was and will always be awesome, just like the PSP.

And that's where I - and seemingly *only* I - disagree! Now I feel ignored. xD Anyway, in case it's been already forgotten, I once reported somewhere in ALoY how I ended up finding out that the Analog Nub can actually be a lot better than any other nub out there, after I played both Ys VI PSP and PS2 at once. Not sure if you remember it or not that I brought that up. (I recall Yakra reported she got shocked by her PSP often in that same thread or something.) (However, Unsavory just now brought up a new, interesting point. But I'm not sure if the thumb size is really relevant... I really do think it mostly comes down to how you use it, but I can't be certain either.)

I love the analog nub personally, even though mine isn't the nub anymore. It's the stick the nub is attached to >_>
I should probably order another nub

You READ that, as you even REPLIED! I think. =X But I'm certain it wasn't in the spam thread that I posted.I'll do some necrochecks in a few old threads and then return. xD

XD That happens with me too, I know how it is. xDDD Anyway, don't worry, I think quoting myself from some other thread will help the nub's reputation around here. xD That's why I'm necrochecking stuff; I already knew you believed in me.

Ho! Behold! That took long to find, as well. I almost gave up. Also, check the next page too: an Yakra reporting she got electrical shocks, as I recalled. xD (I also replied explaining one possible cause for that. I don't think Yakra recall/read my reply though. xD) Anyway, the PSP nub is really good, I think. Comfy and smooth to me. I'm starting to think that the calmer a gamer you are, the more likely the nub won't hurt you. Or perhaps one is just applying too much power to the thumb or something. I don't know. xD I love it, I don't know how one would feel so much pain because of it. =/ (Obs.: Not sure if that's relevant, but I have a PSP-2000.)

Hmmmm, that's actually a really cool product. :P You got me thinking now. It's pretty neat indeed. Looks like it'll definitely alleviate some of the pain from the weight and thickness of the 1000. Wish I knew about it before. ========= Edit: Fire dungeon moving grates HATE.

:3 :3 :3 :3 And when you talk to one ... There's no actual dramatic speed line action. The camera just caught the movement as the in-game camera zoomed in. ^^; (Indeed, for some reason, it needs to go closer so you can SEE the pikkard squeak.) ============== Ah, encountered the most fun boss battle yet! :D Didn't expect two freakin' fights in this one dungeon though. Oh well. Anti-death is me!!!

For those that don't have the guidebook and/or don't mind running the site through online translation sites, there's an Ys SEVEN Wiki~~~~ www28.atwiki.jp/ys7psp/I'm using it for the accessories list so I don't have to look up the kanji I don't know myself. XD Hooray for @nifty translation! Heheh. Love stuff like this: "The Stan value given to the enemy increases by 30 percent." *throws used ship salesmen at enemy* Question: Does the effect of the Medaille/Medal of Luck or any item that increases the probability of obtaining something stack if you stick it on all 3 active party members? ============= Oops. I've been miscounting. Turns out the 5th boss = 6th boss. Anyway, 7th boss is a big fat yawn. Probably among the easiest fights. I doubt even wyrd will have trouble with it. There was another boss that was quite easy as well though I can't recall which one. ============= Just a tip for people using Aisha's Killer Hornet move: You can actually rotate her while she's attacking with the skill. :3 Ahaaha. Almost got the NPC killed. XD

HEY!! (: I'll have you know I'm actually pretty good at Ys bosses... on normal. ;) XD!!!! I think I know why the bosses in SEVEN are ho-hum to me so far! It's cuz I've been spoiled by the awesomeness from Ys Origin. :/ Now that they've gone back to Ys basics, it's like :||||||. I'm going to keep complaining until I come across one that blows me away (meaning it constantly kills me and/or is damn fun to fight).

Oh, come on. You should have fought at least one big deity by now if you went far enough. It can't be that ho-hum by now.
