Thanks a lot for releasing this Synchronicity! I'm having a blast with it so far though my pesky college classes getting in the way! No problem. Feel free to use whatever you like. You all seem to have the most complete English Brandish site out there, so anything you all can use is fine by me. I'll see if I can join the forums soon, but no need to wait. : ) This is my current Backloggery image, but feel free to use that too if you like. I may hate Dark Zone, but the concept of it was spot on! -Thomas

So, how are the people playing it enjoying the music? The first hour of Brandish 2 has a quite few of my favorite tracks in it: Prison, Battle Point B, *spoilertrackname*, Synchronicity and Islet are all masterpieces!
And I knew you'd enjoy it Skye! The system is a bit rougher than the Dark Revenant, but still very fun and a LOT faster!
Though I can't believe you disliked the Dark Zone in Brandish 1! The first area might be kind of half-boring, the second zone is one of my favorite Brandish area's ever. Really liked how you had to tread carefully and strike out a safe path using your trusty Steel Balls!

Yeah. I didn't really care for Dark Zone. To be honest though, I did like the mine field concept and approach of finding the correct path amongst a slew of pitfalls. I think that I simply fell to many times and used up most of my steel balls. It wouldn't have been so bad if my only objective in Brandish was to get from point A to point B, but I was going for 100% map completion, which really made Dark Zone 2 especially frustrating. Also, since it was my first time playing through Brandish, I expected that there would be 10 levels or so of Dark Zone, not just two. I think if I had known that Dark Zone 2 was the final part and that was why it was so challenging, I would have had a greater appreciation for it. But I was thinking, "Oh man! 10 levels of this stuff! You got to be kidding me!" A friend of mine who is also playing Brandish TDR also had a rough time with Dark Zone 2, so I know I'm not the only one. : )
But again, your guide was absolutely great! Not sure if I would have been able to complete the game without understanding some of the language barrier puzzle information you had in there.

Interest seems to be dwindling so I slapped together a quick SUPER HAPPY EUROBEAT MEGADANCE LAUNCH PARTY HD TRAILER (with an exclusive Dela Delon cutscene)
SPREAD THE WORK OK?

Yeah I too liked the first trailer a lot more. It just has that extreme "Holy Shit!" Wow, factor to it. Nice work on the "extended Dela Delon" cutscene from Brandish 2, though I'd recommend to change the TDR image of her to the one of her that is in the cutscene immediately following the Brandish 2 title screen, since not many people know about that additonal cutscene and then it really would look like a hidden cutscene from Brandish 2. : )
And the interest in Brandish 2 hasn't waned a bit on me. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and I can't put it down... Which isn't the best thing considering my Senior Project is due soon! : 0
That and Sardien got me unstuck in my Ruins EX game in TDR recently as well, so my clock's been pretty much set at Brandish time in Thomasville right now.

LOL, I'll have to set some time aside to try this patch out. Hey Sky, how are you liking Brandish SNES? Yeah, you definitely should. Brandish SNES is quite fun once you get into it. I remember being a little non-interested in it when I first played it several years back, but once I played through Brandish The Dark Revenant, it was like love at first sight into a new series that has so many wonderful game mechanics to offer. It's nice finally being able to play through the original experience with what I know from TDR, only have it be in English this time around. : ) And Brandish 2 is really taking what was great about Brandish 1 and expanding on the formula, including non-linear elements and sub-quests, plenty of amazing boss fights and more great level design. It's really everything Brandish 1 was and a bag of chips... and an unlimited hyper sugared soda beverage at a Falcom Cafe of Awesomeness. -Thomas

Yeah, I'm sure that a fan patch for a SNES game is really going to hurt sales of the original product these days... Then again, I've gotten more than a few posts deleted on Gamefaqs for posing Youtube links to Falcom songs even though Falcom's fine with it. I think the lesson to be learned is that the moderators everywhere but on ALoY are morons, wheras here they're awesome.
Also, that was an awesome trailer and it would be cool if someone saved a copy and could repost it or something.

What!? The trailer was deleted! Absurd! I will gladly host it from my own web server in higher quality if someone can just hook me up with the file!
This is an injustice! : 0

Thanks for posting this Shadowserg. Close! But that was the second one unfortunately which while still awesome doesn't compare to the awesomeness of the first trailer. I'd love to find that one still! -Thomas

IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS since the release of the Brandish 2 SFC English patch! 730 days out in the wild? Why, that's cause for celebration! Sorry about the original "not for bitches" trailer disappearing into thin air like a sledgehammer wildly swinging at the sea. I am still unsure to this day as to why Youtube deleted my channel. Maybe one day I'll try recreating it from scratch, because I lost all of my original Sony Vegas project + media files as well. That said, I do have something mildly interesting for diehard fans of the series: our Google Code project we used while beta testing the patch. It contains insightful ROM hacking discussion and endless bitching about Koei's dubious port job. code.google.com/p/brandish2/issues/list?can=1&q=&colspec=ID+Type+Status+Priority+Milestone+Owner+Summary&cells=tilesIf you haven't tried the patch yet, please do! It's 100% complete and we haven't received a single typo/bug complaint in two years, after thousands of downloads. Take care and dual wield safely, always.

Got Brandish 3?
I'm ready to Dual Wield... Again. : )
