hahaha well, there is a french novel that the game is supposedly (veyr loosely) based on... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ysi would be interested to find this book and read it... so, according to this: Ys was raised to the sky could be modified that the sea level retreated...

I love the Ys Strategy map! Any ideas about an YSI -V series of maps? I could do with a couple for Solomon Shrine...

I find the Legend of Ys to be very fascinating. I remember reading one article saying that the one day the City of Ys will rise since it was not destroyed, but simply flooded. Maybe near the end times, when nuclear bombs are going off and continents are sinking into the ocean, we will see new land and lost civilizations appear once again. Very fascinating!
