Hi, I posted in the marketplace, but I would like to ask a general question on the different versions of the game(s). I found this link on the boards: homepage2.nifty.com/tkdate/ysmusic/cd/Ys/Ys_ys12cp.htmlSo three versions exist. Could anybody elaborate on the versions they have (seen) and the prices they go for these days? Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply! Well I'm in region 2 so I'd 'need' the R2 version. The CD is also a nice bonus. So what price range should I be thinking for the LE? I mean even the regular version at Himayashop costs $68...

Hmm, well I might then just jump on seperate released (which Crash is offering). Thanks for the help. After more than 5 years of listening to Ys, I am now finally making the move towards playing the game. I had been hesitant cause I did not want to ruin the magic of the music but Im past that now...I think

Yeah, the bumping is what I am still a bit afraid off. The recent games don't have that but they lack the vintage vibe. Let's see. Thanks and maybe I will start visiting these boards more often from now.

The bump system is goofy fun! How can people not like seeing monsters explode into a bloody mess (or blink and disappear in the old games) from Adol's touch of death!?
And it's not like it's a totally mindless battle system or anything! It takes reflexes and strategy too!
Okei, so the bloody mess only happens if you put the Blood option to max but still! Explosions!

So I saw the game is on sale at Falcom. Now I have one last question: what is the difference between the cd and dvd versions of the game?

Accessibility; one version for users who don't have a DVD drive, and one version to... cut down on production costs and make it easier to play? Falcom CDs can range up to 4 in a package or so, whereas you only need one DVD.

Well, that is obvious . I was referring to quality differences in sound and/or graphics department.
