True, even the VC has waaaaaaaaay more Turbo games in Japan then we do here, & yeah, licensing here probably is more messy. It's already messy for alot of titles, due to companies going out of business over the years. Even Sunsoft only owns "most" of Telenet's properties, but not all. Speaking of which, I wish they'd stop sitting on their hands & release some Cosmic Fantasy or Valis stuff like they(well, Vic Ireland) were talking about....assuming they even have the rights to either of those properties(some say the porno company that did Valis X possibly still own the rights)

That doesn't really make sense though - because they also gave us SNES Harvest Moon and a load of other previously import only games on there too (and they run at 60Hz!). It's just damn lazy if you ask me *moody*

That PAL think kinda ticks me off(& not just cuz most of my CD32 games don't work on my tv ). I wish Europe with get with the times & upgrade to NTSC like the US & Japan. Seems like it would make things alot easier, though, I wonder if everyone would have to go out & buy new tv's, or maybe there is some kind of box that could be made that would convert the NTSC signal to PAL for those who didn't get new tv's?

It'd be nice if this world could go without region locks and multiple formats. :P
I mean, I'd shell out money for PAL versions of games in a heartbeat if my consoles and TV and such could play them -- if they were not available locally, that is.
I actually got my Wii and PS2 able to load up PAL games but I need some converter to render them viewable.
Although there IS this one Wii game that showed up fine and The Sword of Etheria (PS2 game) has the option to choose between NTSC and PAL formats at the start of the game.

Because it wasn't that good? But that didn't stop them from releasing many other not so good PS2 games

Because it wasn't that good? But that didn't stop them from releasing many other not so good PS2 games ::) I do wonder about such weird business decisions on the part of the localization companies. I mean, if you're going out of your way to spend money to bring the damn game over, why won't they advertise it instead of keeping it in the dark? IIRC, there was next to no coverage for TSoE. Of course, I don't keep up with European gaming news but I did ask the question once at a forum and that's the answer I got. ^^ And I'm still baffled by the pricing for Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll or whatever pricing. But then, what's the lowest price for new PS3 (non-prolific/non-hyped) games nowadays anyway? >:/

Just copy/pasted the link. It looks pretty cool, and probably will be useful for people on the go, but for someone like me who is typically close to an outlet, I probably won't be needing it.

I mean, if you're going out of your way to spend money to bring the damn game over, why won't they advertise it instead of keeping it in the dark? First of all, ah yes Oz I remember playing that EU version on my PS2 (and yes it has an NTSC and PAL option). Combat moves maybe monotonous but it's still fun to play. It's very disappointing that the game didn't make it stateside and I remember Konami said in their official website's forum that Sony themselves didn't want it because of poor sales outside US. Ironically, Konami "advertised" the game with the remix of its song "Polovtsian Dances and Chorus" which is included as one of the songlists of Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 and this makes the forumers at Konami America wondered about the background video's awesomeness and asked about it. Back to the topic: I'll only buy the 3DS if there are very interesting games of it.
