The $40 PS3 is a mislabeled Move controller. Go figure.

Not to fuel the flames of a dead argument, but... I told you so.If there is in fact going to be a PC version of Seven, I wonder when Falcom will announce it.

Your optimistic guess turned out to be right. I'm happy for both of us.

Not sure if that link is working as intended.

Jumping in at the end of a conversation does tend to be a bit confusing. I don't feel like rereading it now, but if I recall correctly, they were arguing over the potentiality of a Tales game ever again being localized to English. The link was proof that HJ was wrong. (conversations at ALoY tend to go a bit off topic; there's usually more perspicacity to be had from reading through a thread than assuming each post is in response to the title)

Ys Seven PC...... 1080p graphics with all the enhancements and perfect framrate...(I have a high-ish end PC) I'm sold, I'm guessing we should get guys to copy all the text from the PSP version to prepare a Translation... or Falcom has gotten smart and decided to Localize this PC release.... I hope they do.

Did Falcom give up on making Seven multi-platform?

Haven't Falcom heard about Steam? If they don't think there is enough revenue to be gained in the PC market, they should try Steam. It's just crazy to say the market is not big enough when people have to import non-localized boxed versions from Japan in order to play the games... if they were readily available, they would sell more. And the Ys games are not "also rans" that will disappear in competition with better games, they are unique, stand-out classics that would be of interest to anyone into action-RPGs. Dammit Falcom, just go Steam like everyone else!

I heard that Falcom was going to do more Ys games on Sony portables (like the Vita). I dunno if we will ever see a PC version of Seven.

A 7 PC version would be awesome but also a big stylistic break from the other games in terms of artwork.

Which wouldn't have been any different from what we actually got, which was a stylistic break that just happened to be on a different platform as well. At least, in terms of the engine. Arguments that there's stylistic continuity in the character art among the games that use the Napishtim engine are pretty much dead on arrival.

Did Falcom give up on making Seven multi-platform? I don't think so. Just because they haven't talked about something in some time does it mean that they're not doing anything on it. A lot of companies are that way. 'no news' isn't something bad in this industry. It just means that they don't have anything they can openly speak of. I was just worried since it's been quite a while since they released Seven for the PSP, but I hope you're right, and I hope it comes out for the PS3.

This reminds me I have to play Ys I-III again, I forgot where Dogi comes in^^
I can see Ys Seven appearing on Vita because the recent IV game looks similar.

A Chinese company is working hard to port this game to PC platform, and it will be released during this summer holiday. The website of that company www.joyoland.com/
