Wait, that's not recommended. I think it's pretty well agreed upon in ALoY that Felghana has the hardest bosses in the series... then again W-boost really helps so maybe it won't be so bad. I just remember some of the bosses made my soul cry in normal difficulty on my first run through.
And by some, I mean there's a learning curve for all of them. If the boss is easy, you'll get it in under 5 tries. If not, hehe.... hehehe.... damn.

I plan on playing through all difficulties/boss rushes to unlock the full gallery, pssh savegame files :-P
Anyways, 12 days!
I believe so MP83, and all difficulties of the time attack boss rush mode as well I think. If not all, then most.

That's ridiculous. I guess even Falcom makes some bad design decisions.

Sadly, yes. Or just download a savegame file. Also, Peytral, I concur with Este. Starting on Nightmare for your first playthrough is NOT recommended. You will cry. Though I wouldn't say Felghana's bosses are the hardest in the series. I mean, come on... Ys Origin, anyone? -Tom I know. I was just joking. I'm not that insane.

What exactly is required to unlock everything in the game? Beat the game on Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare, aaaaaand Inferno? Hopefully not. Awh crap.. but I've already done that with the PC version!

But, if you can beat nightmare, the lower difficulties should be a walk in the park. Though I wouldn't say Felghana's bosses are the hardest in the series. I mean, come on... Ys Origin, anyone? Yeah, that's the only other game that compares, but I think by the time I played Origins, my twitch reflexes became somewhat better. Also, the Origins bosses aren't so bad with the amount of damage they do; Felghana can be downright mean.

That's the entire problem. If I can beat Nightmare, to say nothing of Inferno, why would I bother myself with a pathetic mode like Very Easy?

For shits and giggles. Speed runs. Whatever.
You really can fly through very easy.

I mean, speed runs are one thing, but for someone who actually beat Nightmare or Inferno, Very Easy would just be letting the game switch to auto-pilot. And I don't really see the point in auto-piloting through a game that focuses on tight gameplay and intense, challenging bosses.

You people are crazy. I played on normal, and a couple of those bosses filled my RAGE meter to near max. If I played on Nightmare my entire house would probably be broken and torn down as a result.
I think I'm going to give it a replay soon, but I still haven't decided if I'm gonna notch down to easy, or risk breaking shit on normal again. I mean, I did it once, right? Maybe this time will be different.

Paid my copy of the Premium Edition off earlier at Gamestop, now to anxiously anticipate November 2nd.
I work at the mall that houses the Gamestop I reserved it at, and I'll likely be working that Tuesday, I should bring my PSP and play on my lunch break.

So actually, I'd recommend bumping up to hard.

Actually, no offense to XSEED, but I don't plan on buying the PSP one. I'm happy with my PC copy on its larger screen(though I've not yet tried it on my new Win 7 system; the last one was Vista). Maybe someday I'll check it out, but for now I don't even own a PSP (had to borrow the roommates for Ys Seven), and I'd need the composite cables to really enjoy it (Ys Seven hurt the fuck outta my neck).
As for playing it on hard, I actually considered that the first time I beat it, but a few of those bosses serve as HUGE discouragement. I beat the end-bitch in only three tries, but without the, uhh, [item that brings you back from the dead?] I'd have never accomplished it. And some of the bosses took over five tries, and at that point, winning just feels like the luck of random probability. I get much more pride from beating it on an easier setting on my own merits than on getting lucky and claiming a victory I feel I was entitled to an hour ago. But, hell, I might up and try anyway. Cause I'm a stubborn dip-shit.
