I hope I'm not the only Mega Man Legends fan on the forum, 'cause something wonderful happened right after I went to sleep last night! www.themmnetwork.com/2010/09/29/mega-man-legends-3-we-are-not-kidding-2/After 10 years... a sequel to Legends 2 is finally announced! And it's for 3DS! Guess that confirms what I'll be getting ASAP. I really don't quite know what to make of all of this... it's very awesome, though! First, Mega Man 9, then Duke Nukem Forever, and now Mega Man Legends 3. The end of the world must surely be approaching.

I actually haven't played them yet because I heard they left people hanging. But I'm gonna play them now since I also hear they're pretty awesome.

I'm in the same boat as you, HJ! Can't wait, now though. I played MML ages ago, but now I can replay it with a full story.

I definitely recommend both of them. Well, I really loved the first game and I didn't get the second game until a couple years ago, but still. Heck, I actually bought a spin off title (The Misadventures of Tron Bonne) early this morning, right before I found out about this. >_>
Ahhh, my childhood feels complete.

I have all 3, but haven't played any of them. However, they're in the original MM universe, so, I want to play them! I really wish they'd bring out the PSP versions here, as I really don't like the controls...atleast, not in the first game which I re-tired recently. Maybe now they'll rethink releasing the PSP versions here?

So, to get prepared for this, I tried playing MML on an emulator.
Turns out, my keyboard's support for only three key presses at a time is making the game practically impossible.

I tried playing it on the PSP. While it can be played, it's a bit unwieldy having to slide the analog stick to the right to aim. I'll just wait for a PSN release, which is already confirmed to be "in the works". Of course, that could mean it'll be a year or something ridiculous like that, eh... If the MML3 release draws near, I can always just tough it out on the PSP.

He edited his post. Before it said "PHuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccccc CAPCOM" at the beginning. Not that that makes it any less nonsensical.

Also, ParanoiaDragon, Legends 1 controls don't use the analog sticks, so they are a bit dated in that regard. Legends 2 does, however. I still prefer Legends 1 over 2, though. Lastly, yeah, I heard that PSN releases of 1 and 2 were being discussed, but I heard that they were trying to re-establish contracts with the VAs in order to do so. I hope it turns out well and they manage to get as many of the old VAs back. Legends had some legendary voice work (pun intended). Or at least give us back Teisel's voice. <3

I am not a hater. Capcom knows they could release it on the GCN, dreamcast or even the Saturn.
Instead we get A LURE to force us to buy the 3ds or emulator.
My second guess is that Capcom sees all the new stuff, and is saying what I said. Can we just make game for the Playstation or even dreamcast please.
I like Capcom, but I am too old/big to be a happy go lucky fanboy like before.

You know, Mega Man Legends didn't sell well, so maybe they didn't have the financial freedom to attempt this until now. Also, by now a lot more people have played the game, and everyone is hyped like mad for a sequel which has been very long in the coming. What's more is, it'll come out on fresh system completely free from piracy. This is a sound decision, and I'm sure releasing a massively anticipated title like this on the 3DS gives them some brownie points with Nintendo.
Oh, and you're gonna emulate the 3DS? That's rich.

Oh, and you're gonna emulate the 3DS? That's rich. With the AWESOME power of PC Engine, EVERYTHING is possible. Haha, oh right. I feel so stupid for forgetting.

You know, Mega Man Legends didn't sell well, That is a lie. It was on the N64, and PC as well. Capcom has stated, the reason why they do not produce such a game, that it would cost too much. The NDS is more like the Gameboy of yesterday, and therefore is like cake walking fifteen years back. They all downloaded, it the cheap bastards. and It was a great game for those who played it. Everybody else who liked it is just a bunch of latebloomer anime freaks who watches passe stuff like Naruto, and dos not even know what Newtype is. On what world are you living on? All systems up to date has been pirated and will be again. Nothing new. They could release this game on the Dreamcast, and will get more hits then any neo system. capcom vs tatsunoko What? Why would Sega release a game for a dead system? The system is not dead. The Saturn, and Dreamcast is still played by many people around the globe. If people started to be advertised any game system and produce games for them, it could come back. MMLXXX all could be on the Saturn right now. However the Dreamcast would be a delight. The majority of people already own a GCN, so why not? Yeah, since they know that every happy go lucky consumer is watching the charts. They fooled us too many rtime. It is time to stop with the foolery and pick a system. If the game is not on your system then forget about it. All game companies would play the. ohhhh youuu gottaa check it out bit, just to satify there limitations. It is like telemarketing but instead of random junk, it is videogames, precious videogame, precious...geerrrrrrr. I like MM as well, but I am sick of the whole way they produce these games. It is time for them to belly up to the consumer.

Just focus on the 2D bliss and forget the 3d rubbish. MML3 is worth buying but the system is not. There I said it.

Yeah, the 3DS totally isn't worth it. The whole 'more powerful than a PSP with more awesome launch titles than you can count on one finger' thing totally isn't enough to make the system worth getting.
