So, those monsters that were guarding the Cape in the Ruins, and at that one section in the Mines, when can I kill them? I went there after I got the terra bracelet and barely made it out alive, they were hitting me for over half my life.

They're enemies you find halfway through the last dungeon, so...

Even if you manage to kill them they get back up and start fighting again. You need an item from the final area to make the defeated ones stay down.

Yeah, it's even making pirates pick up copies, all the little extras jammed into the game. For good and ill, really. Anyway, just finished on Normal and about to tackle Inferno with a clear file. I gotta say, Bishop Nikolas & Dogi's VAs really hit the spot, especially during the semi-final boss fight with Garland, with one classic liner used "YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!" Good stuff!

Picked up my Premium Edition Tuesday morning. Amazing game, don't think it will top Ys Book I & II or Ys IV Dawn of Ys, but still one of the best out there. Third best in this amazing series isn't bad at all. Two PSP Ys games down, only 1 to go. I'm getting spoiled with Ys these days, what will I do after Ys I & II for the PSP comes out? How long will I have to wait for more Ys? We need more Ys!!!

What will you do after Chronicles!? Well, there's the awesomeness known as The Legend of Heroes VI! I'm looking forward to that but keeping expectations down (which is why I am completely ignoring Zero no Kiseki).
But I'm most looking forward to the impending next Ys installment! I be most curious to know what it will be! STILL hoping for a Ys IV remake.
Or maybe Falcom will pull some oddity out of their ass and make another prequel of sorts. >_> Not that Origin was bad as it was the only Ys game that I played 3 times over (only to get the third character XD) but really! They should be focusing on remakes or new stories after SEVEN!!!!!
And NO MORE Ys I & II ALREADY. Damn games have been released enough times!

So, I just thought to do something...
Switching the BGM type when fighting Chester... were these other versions arranged for the game, or did Chop!! exist in the original versions of Ys III as an unused track?

I'm not exactly sure where Chop!! would play in Ys III though. :U

*Sigh* Still waiting on the Premium Edition of Felghana to come in the mail. Supposedly Amazon will be mailing that out to pre-order customers on Nov. 8th. The decided to hold off on shipping my " Sleepy Kittens" book (The puppet book from Despicable Me) along with it as well. Really can't wait to start playing Felghana again in an even better format than the original! One question I had though, why the change in the Premium Edition's box size from that of the Ys Seven box? -Thomas

I asked the same question, and was told it was a budget thing. -Tom And a budget thing being no premium edition for I & II Chronicles? I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I want a shiny box that completes the artwork and says Premium Edition on the front, and comes with an Ys I & II Chronicles soundtrack CD and a bonus, and I always expected that XSEED would complete the Limited Edition of their Ys PSP titles. If not that's fine, I pre-order regardless and will get the pre-order bonus, but I was really hoping for a limited edition.

No, Tiael, he meant that the reason OiF's LE box wasn't as big as Ys Seven's was because of budget problems. I'm sure they'll still have a I & II Chronicles LE box.

Yeah I appreciate you looking out for us, I'm just addicted to boxes with goodies that are shiny and say Premium Edition on the front.

Yes, my Fallout: New Vegas CE with poker chips, a graphic novel and a deck of cards I'll never use agree. I also like to get CE guides as well (even though I don't use guides, I just like to collect)

I'm looking forward to that but keeping expectations down (which is why I am completely ignoring Zero no Kiseki). Only problem is, we might be in for a looooong wait, & not just for the first game, but to get all 3! Damn Falcom & their games riddled with text to translate! As for Chronicles, me thinks the possible lack of LE version has to do with the projected sales figures. I unfortunately see this game as being atleast the bottom seller of the 3 Ys PSP games, since people tend to moan & complain about the bump n' grind gameplay....not to mention the unfathomable 2D grafx...of which, I think Chronicles is the best looking of the 3! But, kid's these days :(

You'll be glad to know, then, that I'm pushing to get a mini-guide for Ys I (self-written) in the Ys I & II Chronicles manual. I don't know how much space we have to work with, nor how much we'll be able to expand the existing manual, but I'm hoping for it to be a full guide with maps and everything -- I'm thinking back to my childhood, when I used to thumb through the mini-guide in the Phantasy Star II instruction manual. Ys I can be a pretty confusing game, especially if you're more used to modern titles... so this was our idea for making the going a little bit smoother. -Tom You should at least include maps for Rastine Mines and the Temple of Salmon in Ys II if you're not going to write a full guide for it. ;P I'd just like an LE to finish the spine artwork on all the other LEs!
