So, after beating Time Attack on Nightmare like the MAN I am[/stroking own nonexistant ego], I realized the only thing left to do besides Inferno(*shudders*) was the second Extra boss. Problem is, I don't know how to unlock it.
I don't have to... beat Inferno, do I? D:

Yep, beat the game on Inferno and hang around after the credits, or something to that effect for the second extra boss.

I'm gonna replay the game on Inferno once I beat Nightmare.
Also, I didn't know about the second extra boss until MP83 told me about it... a month ago, maybe? I still have no idea who or what it is either, I only know that it's there.

Uhhh, Felghana . . . uhhh, extra. . . uhh, bosses? Huh? Is this is a PSP exclusive thing, or did I miss something somewhere? Seriously, are there any extra bosses in the PC version, because if so, I don't think I've fought them (though, now, I MUST).

I know Berhardt can be fought in the PC version as well. Like I said, my knowledge of this other extra boss is pretty minimal, so I couldn't tell you.

Okay, I get that one of them requires me to do something completely impossible. . . and THEN to beat it on inferno. What's the other one? For all I know, I DID fight it and just didn't realize it was an extra, but in case I missed it, could somebody please educate me, so I know for my next playthrough? PLEEEAAAASE!!!!

Thanks Wyrd, I searched the names on YouTube, and somebody posted vids of both bosses. According to the discriptions, you get the first one after Nightmare boss-rush, and the second, as already stated, after completing Inferno. (Yeah. . . cause either of those sound physically possible) For those who are interested (and, like me not likely to ever unlock them): www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcL8643usD8www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zSxkFsXCGc

ALSO:
This just occurred to me, but do any OTHER Ys' have secret bosses like this? I fought and killed that bitch majunun in Napishtim (though I couldn't do it in Time Attack), but I don't know of any others. I'm also unaware of any extra bosses in Ys Seven, aside from the quest baddies (which weren't really hard to find).
So if there's anything else I'm missing, somebody please fill me in.

This discussion made me decide to go back and give Majunun another go on Time Attack. Killed the fucker on Nightmare.
Took 3 hours. THREE HOURS. Of my life. Wasted.
If I ever meet on of those goddamn things in real life, my ass is runnin'.

Don't honestly know how to unlock the first, but the second is unlocked by beating the game on Inferno. I think. -Tom The first unlocked for me for simply beating Time Attack Boss Rush on Very Easy. On PC you got him from beating Nightmare Time Attack Boss Rush. I saw the second entry in the Extra Time Attack section and figured it would be the second hidden boss from the PC. He shows up after the credits when you beat the game on Inferno in PC. IMO he's far easier than the first. After 20 some attempts to beat Galbalan on Inferno, it took my 3 tries to learn the second hidden boss and beat it.

Galbalan on Inferno is a pussy compared to the second secret boss.

Hrm. I must've been doing it wrong, then

Must've been. Although, on Inferno, I find Galbalan to be one of the easiest bosses in the entire game.

It's all about phase 2 and how much damage I take during it for me. And a little bit of randomness in phase 1. Though I've noted on the PSP version that it's much easier for me to line up shots than it was on my dual shock that I was using for PC.

The things that really screw me over during the Galbalan fight is him constantly spamming the attack with the red energy balls. That and me accidentally swinging a fraction of a second too late during the final phase.

HATE those energy balls. I also hate the vortex in the final phase. It shouldn't be hard to deal with but it always screws me up.
And the second phase is pretty ridiculous too, but at least you feel studly when you beat it.
