Played Link's Awakening on the original GB as a kid, and loved it then. (That's the one with the sleeping whale right?) I also enjoyed Minish Cap when I played it like a year and a half ago, though it was far from my favorite. Aside from the Oracles (which, given the feedback, I may not bother with), I haven't tried the DS titles either. Too many mixed reviews, and I'm not a fan of stylus (or mouse, in my case) control.

You'd like the comics. Everyone likes the comics. Except the last volume. That one sucked hardcore.

Just give the Oracles a chance. If you don't like them, don't play them. You have nothing to lose! Unless you're buying them, of course. X) I emulated Ages first, but bought it too because I like it, even if I have a love-hate relationship with those games.

Oracles was awesome, the haters don't know what they're talking about. Minish Cap and Link's Awakening were great too.

I still haven't read the last two Scott Pilgrim's comics, so I can't comment on that.
As for the Oracles, I still haven't played them, but all online reviews I read are pretty positive.

Minish Cap is my favourite portable Zelda, but the Oracle games have a special place in my heart as well.
Kinda depressing when I consider the QUALITY of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks in comparison to them.

So this is a Zelda thread now. Nice. I've never had the guts to look inside it for fear of smup talk. Then I clicked anyway because I was going to mention Pop'n Twinbee for SNES. Why? Because it rules.
But since it is a Zelda thread now, I will not mention Pop'n Twinbee. Instead I will mention this:
Zelda. I like Zelda. I am looking forward to the new Zelda. Also, I enjoy the Oracle of Stuff games, but not The Minish Cap. This is how I feel about these games. My opinion has been stated. I also super enjoyed the DS Zelda games, not the atmosphere in them, but the gameplay only. The first one had lousy music but I guess they realized this because the second game had super great music.
Imagine if someone were to make Ocarina of Time for some kind of futuristic non-existant 3d-based handheld console, that would be something to say "pretty cool" about. If it were to happen, though. Which, of course, it won't. I mean, 3d handheld thing?

The best Zelda Game is The Guardian Legend. Which is also a shmup.

I loved that game as a kid. It frustrated the hell out of me sometimes, because my game-reflexes were worse then than they are now, but I still loved it.
