just noticed today that Ys:oath in felghana and Ys seven's price dropped from 30$ to 20$
also, does anyone know if this is only temporary? I'd love to buy them, but i have no way of paying for them atm
edit: on second thought, wouldn't it be better if there was a stickied post with the latest Ys-related psn news?

Universal/permanent. Retail copies are also 19.99 (29.99 for limited)

I'll never understand why digital copies would ever cost the same amount of money. You're paying the same price for no physical media, no packaging, no booklet, no art, and no ownership. I refuse to support that kind of twisted business model.
If the PSN price is the same as the physical, just get that one. Unless you're using a GO or... preparing for the PSP2/NGP/Handheld thing, like someone else I might know. In which case~ suit yourself!

I dunno I find that PSP UMD drives die way too often that DD versions have their uses for "broken" PSPs. Also some grey areas with PSN in particular IE gameshare that some people like to use (and I won't deny I do take advantage of the fact at times, particularly with pooling Rock Band DLC).

I had forgotten about the gameshare, but...
In regards to bricked UMD drives, I would still buy the physical and infringe myself a download to play. Hardly even illegal at that point. I'm just not gonna buy a game that I can't touch.

Er, but the practice is for all sorts of downloadable software so I don't think gameshare really factors into this?
I mean, I think even the digital copy of Photoshop directly purchasable from Adobe is the same price as the goddamn retail copy. At least it was when they started the thing. Dunno if the recent versions still do.
And I think back when, they still had the semi-big and fat printed manuals that accompanied the in-brick-and-mortar-store copies so in this sense, I don't get why the DL version was carrying the price tag if it didn't involve killing trees.
I suppose I'm thinking about this too simply since methinks someone mentioned before that the effect that packaging and whatnot has on the pricing isn't all that much if you look at the whole package.
But still, even if the difference is in pennies, there's still a difference!
