wow
One of the things I like about Ys Seven, is precisely the script (don't know why people say it's that bad), and because it looks like a game make specially for Dogi, and not Adol. Also, the one I tried to play always I can, it was with him. XDDDD
About the gameplay, I agree that is very cool in the two games. ^^

Wooo. Bronze Space (青銅の間) walkthrough is up~! Posting for the benefit of people playing the game. :3 koukoupuffs.net/2012/10/20/Ys-celceta-walkthrough-for-the-bronze-space-in-iris/There's not much in terms of spoilers since there's no story information at all. There is a screenshot of the boss for this section but it's not visible unless you deliberately click on the link. :P I might do a video playthrough for the heck of it too. I thought about doing one for the Gold side but I'm not sure I can go through it without making the video go too long. I have a feeling I'll be all derpy and miss the paths I need a few times while rotating the rings. :P

Uh, for the Item Collector trophy, can I get it on a first playthrough or do I need the other 3 ultimate weapons + any super weapons I didn't create as well? >_>

Does this mean that multiple save files (ala PSP titles) do not remedy the situation?

Does this mean that multiple save files (ala PSP titles) do not remedy the situation? I don't believe so because there's a running log exclusive to each save file that keeps track how much of this and that that you've completed. :( Getting all weapons looks to be something that can only be done with 2 or more playthroughs. Edit: Actually, someone at the XSEED forums confirmed a Platinum can be achieved on a second playthrough. .___.~

Which brings me to the next question: is there a New Game +?
// If so, what carries over? Just the log, or is Falcom generous like with Felghana PSP?

Which brings me to the next question: is there a New Game +? // If so, what carries over? Just the log, or is Falcom generous like with Felghana PSP? Indeed, there is a new game+~! All items (like equipment & materials) and gold are brought over except key items. Character levels, skills, play time, monster data, and various percentages in the log are also carry-overs but stuff like number of chests opened and number of quests completed are reset. Boss Rush and Time Attack are unlocked as well after you complete the game.

To anyone that reads japanese, can anyone make up an accessory list? A lot of the accessories can be deciphered (Str +5, SP use -10%) but some of them have a lot of kanji and I can't figure out what they do.

Theme of Adol 2012 is the title and game over song. The only extra is the extended version of the OP piece. We're still hoping for some sort of 'Songs of Celceta' CD with all the songs that they forgot to include.
And for a translation of the accessories right here:
Edit: Hmm, it doesn't seem to like my Japanese. Setting your browser to Shift-JIS encoding should get the characters to display.
- ƒ‰ƒCƒtƒŠƒ“ƒOI-IV (Life Ring I-IV): Raises Max HP by the indicated amount
- ƒpƒ[ƒŠƒ“ƒOI-IV (Power Ring I-IV): Raises STR by the indicated amount.
- ƒV[ƒ‹ƒhƒŠƒ“ƒOI-IV (Shield Ring I-IV): Raises DEF by the indicated amount.
- ƒXƒLƒ‹ƒŠƒ“ƒOI-IV (Skill Ring I-IV): Reduces SP consumption by the indicated percentage.

- ŒˆŽ€‚̃nƒ`ƒ}ƒL (Suicidal Headband): STR+5, damage increases as HP decreases

Ah thanks, guys, that helps a lot so I can properly prepare for boss fights. Gadis was being a whore on nightmare mode.
Nunu, you should try the hero ring. It changes the Extra Skill of the person its attached to. For example it changes Adol's from his Sol Breaker skill to something like a meteor or giant fireball attack. I'm not sure if the new attacks are stronger or just different.

For example it changes Adol's from his Sol Breaker skill to something like a meteor or giant fireball attack. I'm not sure if the new attacks are stronger or just different. Hilarious thing is that I did use it for a while but due to my crappy memory, I didn't notice anything different. XD Well, I started my Nightmare run (a first in the series for me ^^). Made it slightly easier with near maxed out Adol and Dulen and ultimate weapons and armor. Alas, even with the beefy setup, the first boss took me like 10 minutes to defeat cuz I forgot how to fight it. XD Once I realized I was supposed to get the stun meter up, things went a bit faster! I'm gonna need 99 of every recovery item for the boss fights. :P Regular enemies are a joke at the moment since a single skill attack can kill everything along the way.... except the G.Pikkard. Hell, the bugger survived a freakin' EX Skill. Oh, and large enemies too. Damn Nightmare mode. I wonder if I can even finish it? I'm currently at the Algon Valley area. I would have been further had I not ran around the Forest of Dawn to murder things for materials and gold. (Need the 1,000,000 G material for item trophy.) I also loaded up clear data on Easy for the time attack and boss rush trophies. XD Wussy mode worked well! Scored all 4 of the trophies related to these modes in one go. Boss rush took me like 44 minutes though cuz the giant fish boss and final Iris boss took over 10 minutes each. :/ I wish I could Flash Guard at will so I can get crit attacks. :( Edit: What exactly is needed for the merchant-related trophy? It's obvious it has nothing to do with simply finishing the required quests. Incidentally, I'm up to 90% on trophies. :3

Learning to flash guard/move is a big help on boss fights. There are a lot of opportunities where a boss will have a wind-up that makes timing easier. If you can get the timing down, you'll get those free criticals from guarding or the ability to move around freely from flash moving. I found it pretty neccessary in the Bammy fight.

How do you unlock the boss rush? I assumed it happened after beating the game but I don't see an option for it still.

How do you unlock the boss rush? I assumed it happened after beating the game but I don't see an option for it still. Pretty sure you found it by now but there's an extra option in the Memories menu. Got my Platinum trophy this morning. Almost died a few times in the last 2 boss fights. XD I stocked up on potions before going into them so it was all right. I totally would not be able to have gotten through Nightmare difficulty had I started it as a fresh game. Maxed out characters + almost maxed out ultimate weapons and armor made it quite management. I wouldn't say it was insanely easy since dumb mistakes during fights were still costly. Having noted this, I doubt I'll be able to do Nightmare modes in other Ys games. :P Random note about a late game dungeon + guest character: I played recklessly for fun in the laboratory just to see if Riesa would die. I don't believe she can. D: I could swear she got hit for 2000+ HP of damage (in one shot ^^) and then a red 1 HP popped up afterward so I guess she'll always have a speck of life left.
