Just in case anyone felt like 'returning', or even, starting Ragnarok Online it's now completely free to play, with lots of new additions. You can try it out on the PC by downloading it from the site: www.playragnarok.com/It's not Ys Online but I'd be interested if anyone has any fun stories they'd like to share from RO. I've moved on now, but I still listen to the OST. My Crusader days were the best, I also had a guild, Supernovice Merchant and a FS Priest in 2006.

Did they get rid of the terrible restrictions on free players? I haven't played it in many years, but I remember hearing that free players had significantly slower exp rates, which really rubs salt in the wounds brought by the already low rates for subscribers.
I did have a lot of fun with it back around '05, I think it was, when I decided to try out a trial. I also played it a lot on my friend's personal server and really miss it.

www.playragnarok.com/gameguide/vippackage.aspxthe differences are here... it was wise for RO to go F2p since Its pretty much overrun with free servers... I honestly can't play RO anymore with a 7 consecutive year run with countless characters on countless servers.. I'm all burnt out... But I can say its simplicity is what makes it much more addicting than WoW
