GREAT WORK, but dudes what a dick move. You make us register just to get the links to the mirrors of the actual patch? This calls for justice // Leave the "justice" to the mods, and stop antagonizing other members -- that is a dick move! - UM The dick move, as you called it , was made only for avoid direct cross-linking from other websites. Since I'm the website owner and I personally pay for the website generated bandwidth I thought It was better to protect links in some way instead of putting them clear for all the other websites and boards. Anway for justice you, as others, published them, It doesn't matter for me.. as usual you ansd othersmanage things as you were the creator of them. And with this i close the download matters topic. Speakin' of more important things I have to say you: 1) the babelfishy translations, as someone here called them, are caused by a mistake made by myself. Just to explain you: item descriptions and monster and chracter descriptios are inside thwo files that are in data_1100.na archive for the v1.1.00. In the later version, Falcom guys ( nobody knows why) fixed and cnahed some of the existing descriptions and put them inside the main executable. So, in the latest versions ( 1103, 1110) some descriptions are taken from the main executable but the others one ( the most ones ) are still inside the original files. So what happened... While Gho was hacking the later exe versions he found these descriptions and to see if the hacking were workin he translated them by using an automated translator and then send to me the relocation file. I didn't check again the items translation since I was sure that they were OK having tested the game. So I did a mistake..sorry guys. All this will be fixed in the next patch version. I sent Deuce all the reports and we are workin' over the them. I'll track down the strings goin' out of them boxes, too. SO guys..we are still wokin' over it trying to make a relly good patch, fixin' all the typos and mistakes that are in this version. thanks to all the guys who are helpin' me with their reports: Korzic, Pennywise, Rextor, Rockman X and all the others who are sendin' me shots and reports even if don't know their nicks. thanks a lot guys. Cu soon for more detailed updates.

Doppi, do you think it would be possible to make it so the intro FMV scenes could be skipped?
For whatever reason, the exclamation point line and dot bleed into another, making it look like a the letter L. Could be my resolution [1280x800], playing it on my cripple notebook, as my desktop monitor just died.
BTW I too had the Applocale install texture error. Just running the game using Applocale to fix it.

I think by default the game wasn't designed in a way its intro can be skipped. About the exclamation mark, that's because of the font. But I personally can still tell them apart... Also, the texture problems are all solved without applocale AFAIK as long as you play the game on 1024 x 768 resolution. (Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.)

Doppi, do you think it would be possible to make it so the intro FMV scenes could be skipped? They can be skipped after beating the game once. I've noticed this too (both in 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 resolution); it's probably a result of the type of font they used. Anyway, I wanted to ask, does anyone else have the "Character"/"Monster" description text overlapping the notebook lines? I ask because on Doppiapunta's website, the screenshots show the text on the line (or in the case of the last line, beneath it), but no matter my resolution (can get it as far as 1280 x 1024), the text always goes over a line at some point. I can't help but wonder if this is linked to the overflowing text in some way (not that it does (yet) for the diary entries, but still), or if the problem's just on my end. Doppiapunta, I know I told you a week or two, but with any luck, I'll get you a report of Hugo's route by today or tomorrow (am going through it faster than expected ).

By the way, concerning Ys ORIGIN, when I get bigger SP pieces, the number "1" still shows (and I DO get just 1 SP), even though the piece IS quite clearly bigger than the smallest one. Did anyone else run into this bug? (I'm pretty sure someone stated it before me somewhere...) How far in are you? Nightmare mode severely limits how much SP you get but I can say for sure later on (by the Sand area, if not sooner) you should be getting more SP than that. If you are still early in the game, chances are Falcom just applies a raw division on the SP value of the stones, minimum 1 SP, and didn't bother thinking of how that would appear to the player as they collect different sized stones.

Oh, I'm going through Water/Flooded Prison right now (6th Floor). So it's likely not a bug then? It'd be certainly a relief if later on I could get more SP.

It's strange but I got only 1 SP for any stone even in the end. Well, I'm not sure of it because I gave up SP collecting after some time.

If you are taking suggestions Doppia....
The font on the "The Tower" graphic on the map seems awfully small and pixelated. Is there any way you could make it bigger?
Again thank you for your hard work. I have beaten Yunica's Scenario but if there is a 1.1 in the works. I think I'll wait for it.

doppiapunta, it is great to see you will take suggestions for text corrections, although since I basically got as far as Yunica introducing herself to the Roda tree before quitting (and I will be very busy with work for the coming weeks), I am sure others will have already pointed out all the areas for editing before I find anything.
The 1.1.0.0 game, 1.1.0.3 update, and English patch seemed to install just fine on Win7 64-bit, with no funny business. I did not need to change my locale or anything. I like how I can run the game without a disc in the drive now, since my notebook has no optical drive and I have not bothered to install any drive emulator.
Thank you for your dedication, keep up the excellent work!

I used the MediaFire download link, version 1.1.0.3, if that means anything. Running it on WinVista 32 bits.

I've already cleared the game on Nightmare with Hugo since translation, the largest fragments in the final area were still giving only 1SP each. I had 39000 or so SP at the end of the game, and 30000 of them came from treasure chests. Still not sure if this is intentional. Unfortunately I don't have Arena mode unlocked either (only Time Attack so far, I can't even remember how to unlock Arena...beat the game with all characters?) to try that as a fix like Ghis mentioned but I'll report back if I get to that point later on.

Doppiapunta you are the man. I registered specifically to say that. I must have played through this game 10 times by now. It's nice to know what's going on this time around. Don't you listen to these guys giving you crap for the text file and all that. They're just being lazy.

I'm consistently getting a crash right after the final boss battle playing as Yunica with version 1.1.0.3. The screen goes white, then the window closes. I've tried using the EXE from NeoGAF with the same result.
I read the suggestion to use Applocale to fix texture and other issues, but doing that reverts the dialog to Japanese. Any ideas?

Are you using applocale with the right exe? It shouldn't revert the text to japanese.

Has anyone reported how with Yunica's UI, her axe and sword display on top of each other all the time when only one of them should be displayed depending on what ability she is currently using?
I'm playing on v1.1.0.3
