Hi guys, i am currently working on a program that will allow the user to switch to any character at any time at the press of a button, this means people could switch between any of the games 4 main characters at anytime (even mid battle), i originally started this to try and get Adol playable in story mode but it eventually evolved into this, here is a couple of video's showing what i mean
So with this it is possible to be Adol in story mode but if i do just use Adol, glitch's appear to happen so i have to switch back to my original character at story scene's that involve fighting or receiving a item to stop the game from messing up (some scenes still play fine but some don't). Anyway I'm not sure if anyone is interested in this but any feedback is welcome, and if i do release this what keyboard buttons should i make for switching between the characters ?

That is friggin' amazing!
Why bother switching weapons when you can switch combat style altogether? I still haven't done Claw's route, and because the game is. . . repetitive, I'd planned any subsequent playthroughs to just be whichever route/playstyle I like most.
With this, I could enjoy the game in its entirety without the repetition. I for one throw my full encouragement behind this, even if it'll be some time before I care to crawl through that damn tower a fourth time. Best of luck with it.
/oh, and I don't care about key mapping, because I play with a gamepad, and don't even know what the normal, already used key mapping is.
Hey guys thanks for the feedback If anyone else could help test this for me i would appreciate it, here is the first version (maybe the last if everything works OK, although i may change what buttons are used), you can download it from here www.mediafire.com/?aa8k8u9h63cdhwr its very small in size and can run from anywhere on your PC so you don't need to put it in the games folder, To use just run it then run the game (or vice versa) then press the desired button to switch to that character.
Working on version 1100 not on 1103. I see you put some cheat features in it. I accidentally hit ctrl f2 and my hp jumped up, ctrl f3 made the sp go up. Whats odd is that the cheats still work on 1103 but not the character switching.
Thanks for the feedback, ramunerobot OK thanks for letting me know you need to run as admin, i will have to add some kind or warning or maybe a readme to let people know that. I will look into EX and other versions of characters such as Evil Hugo etc but i won't promise anything.
Xalphenos Thanks for trying on 2 different versions of the game, i forgot about 1103, so i have made a version for 1103 which should work (hopefully), if you could test it for me i would appreciate it. www.mediafire.com/?5xumcppyumc034i Also these cheats you mentioned i have no idea how that has happened but it isn't happening to me, are you sure its caused by this program and not something built into your game or your saves ?
EDIT:- Just finished Version 2, and ramunerobot i have added a option for EX characters and for the other version of Adol, i have also added Evil Aura which gives the player a Dark Aura which causes Inf MP on all characters and gives Hugo 6 Eyes of Fact and i have also added the ability to throw crystals (like you can as the Claw in the final boss battle) for all characters and added Yunica's alternative costume. here is a video showing all the options, just got a little bit more testing today and i hope to release it tomorrow (maybe later today)
OK great, thanks sephirothtnh now i know it works on 1103 i can release the new version, i have included 2 versions this time, 1 for 1100 and 1 for 1103, they both have the exact same options. you can get it here www.mediafire.com/?12vb7otkaxyp6mi or download the attachment at the end of this post. And remember if you are on Vista or Win7 to Run As Admin. And again any and all feedback is welcome, and anymore requests for options are also OK.

It most likely will not work for the steam version. Kranmer only wrote the program for 1100 and 1103, the two common versions prior to steam. There was also a version 1110 and the steam version has even further updates.
